My family had a very difficult journey getting to Olympic National Park and we missed Ruby Beach because we got to our campground very late. However, I got us to backtrack the next morning and it was SO worth it. There was not a lot...More

Not an ideal place to hike during a rainy day. Especially with little kids, it gets muddy and not too pleasant. The beach is nice overlooking pacific ocean coast. It can get very cold from the wind. The rocks formation is beautiful.

Loved Ruby Beach. Lucked out and visited when the tide was quite far out, so there was plenty of beachcombing. Like many of the beaches in this area, there were loads of washed up logs on the beach. It was so beautiful to sit on...More

We stopped here after going through Forks and the Hoh Rain Forest. It was cold in February, but we still enjoyed the beauty of this beach. The kids climbed on large driftwood trees, and explored the rocks and beach. There is a very short walk...More

I would say 45 minutes to an hour and a half. Not a far walk to the tidepools once you re on the beach, but you could spend a long time looking at all the amazing creatures and rock formations.
