Absolutely gorgeous overlook of Diablo Lake with breathtaking views of the Cascades popping up around the lake. Lots of parking, some picnic areas & easy walking areas to run kids off on the drive. Do not miss this stop!

We were told that a stop here is well worth it, and they were not mistaken! The climb on the west side has power lines along it, so the view of the mountains is a bit hampered, but on the east side, it’s fantastic!

This place is just 3 hour drive from Seattle. The road to Diablo lake is beautiful. A perfect weekend get-away from Seattle. This place offers amazing view, is usually peaceful and has minimal crowd

Must visit. The drive from Seattle is scenic and the road runs along the river across small villages. Do stop by small coffee shops.

We remarked how nice it is that so many families enjoyed this area. Take take time for a picnic, or just rest and get your bearings.

I have written reviews for some of the other sights that we have seen on our trips, but I decided that I would not write a review for this location. After all, it is just one of many pull-outs on the road through North Cascades...More

Travelling with a 30 foot 5th wheel and a 30 foot rv, we stopped here on our way to the Oregon coast a couple months back. Mind you it was before all the fires and smoke, but it offered ample parking, and some interesting historical...More

The boat is a "ride," half day or whole - with interpretive guides. We camped in the state campground.
