My husband surprised me with a day trip to Crystal Mountain for my birthday. We took the gondola up to the Summit House for lunch and sat next to a window to experience the beautiful view and watch skiers come down. Dress extra warm if visiting in the winter. The resort also has ski lessons for the first timers.

Super views of mountains, fabulous trails. The gondola allows dogs and the trails are endless. What more can you say about a trip to heaven with your four legged best friends

We checked in Alpine Inn of Crystal Mountain Resort for a 2 night stay. There's just enough room for the 2 of us so bringing kids can be tough. There's barely room for our bags so staying for longer periods can be a problem too. The bed was comfortable to sleep in and be intimate as a couple (remember just... More

The only reason Crystal isn't one of the best spots to ski is the weather and the management. I have been snowboarding here as a regular and generally as a season pass holder for 9 seasons. I've snowboarded around the world and there are not many places that have the same combination of amazing terrain, usually plenty of snow, and... More

My two young adult offspring and I took in Crystal Mountain Resort for the first time in mid-March 2016. We hit a nice patch of weather which I'm sure influenced our experience. Left Tacoma at 930a on a Fri, and made it on smooth roads in time for 1/2 day of skiing. Being allowed to check into our room before... More

The Crystal Mountain Resort offers comfortable, well appointed self catering accommodation as close as you can get to the ski lifts. There is a small, very poorly stocked, shop at the resort so you will need to take just about all of your provisions, if you intend to cater for yourself. But there are several bars and restaurants within walking... More

In early March, we were lucky with the weather -- not too warm (so snow not rain), not too cloudy, some fresh snow, albeit heavier than folks used to Utah/Colorado. If you can ski different terrains, you can find any and all kinds here, with minimal lift lines, with the possible exception of getting off the bottom of the mountain.... More
