With teenage boys in tow, this trip was a little long, but otherwise a great experience. This lies on the longer end of tours offered at Mammoth, but doesn't include the legitimate caving element that the Wild Cave tour offers. It does however show off...More

This was a really interesting tour, and the distance tended to weed out a lot of the people who had no clue that a cave has uneven floors and dim lighting. Ranger Chris was a great tour guide! The tour is 4 miles long with...More

I like going for a long hike, so I honestly enjoyed this whole tour. However, there were definitely long stretches of it where you were just walking through the cave, not really hearing anything from the tour guide. We brought our 10-year-old and seven-year-old sons...More

This is a four-hour tour. However, there is not four hours of walking; it is probably more like three. On this tour you will see most of the highlights that average people see, including the Frozen Niagara Tour. There are stops for photos, but it...More

This is a great tour, but you should know what you are choosing and make sure you don't pick the wrong tour like most of the folks who gave negative reviews. THIS TOUR IS NOT FOR YOU IF you are the typical cave tourist who...More

We enjoyed the hike, the ranger was friendly & knowledgeable. There were cool things to see along the way and the very end had some amazing formations. I would do it again. All the details we couldn’t really find on the website and/or found conflicting...More

We had one day at the park, and chose this tour for its all- encompassing feel. It didn’t disappoint. We saw bats, rock formations, stalagmites and stalactites, 150 yr old smoke writing, vast caverns and winding passageways. Our guide was a 5th generation tour guide...More

Ranger Eric was a fantastic guide on the Grand Avenue tour. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. This tour covered a little bit of everything and was a fairly easy walk. Highly recommended.

The tour is quick paced with breaks along the way. It reminds me more of a hike, than tour, with uneven terrain, wonderful scenery but the guides do stop and offer history lessons along the way. Our group did string out after a while due...More

This "tour" is really a 4 mile hike. Really beautiful and different, but if you are expecting a "Carlsbad" experience, do not complain later on TripAdvisor......so glad that we did this hike.....but it is strenuous, so bring water.

No lunch stop. There are 2 brief bathroom stops. They ask that you don't bring food or beverages other than bottled water into the cave. Most people snacked before and after.

The signatures are also on the grand avenue tour. I don't think you see the ones I think you are asking about on the historic tour.
