Manzanita Lake is really charming. We have hike around it numerous time over the year. We've launched our row boat and paddled it as well. Crystal clear water, 1 mile high and a quick 1 hour drive from Shasta County.

We were staying at the camping cabins so we took a walk around the lake before dinner the first night. We saw all sorts of wildlife and flowers. There are great views of Mt. Lassen. It's a lovely, peaceful lake. There were kayakers and other activities going on on and around the lake. A very peaceful

What a beautiful spot on a clear blue morning in late May 2016. A great place to hike with some of the best places for photography of the mountain with reflections in the lake. Just beautiful for photography!

This lake is beautiful! The trail around it is not hard. Although there are a lot of trees blocking the view of the lake, there is one particular area on the trail where you can get a clear view of Lassen Peak behind the lake! It is a beautiful picture--a picture of Manzanita Lake that is featured in the Lassen... More

This is a 2 mile trail, with no ups and downs, flat only trail. The lake is beautiful and you see the mountains with snow over it at July!

If you are into photography, this lake is for you. The reflection on the lake is beautiful. You can camp around the lake and swim. There are restrooms, but the one we encountered was closed for the summer. It's a great place for a picnic.

We went with another family and had a lovely picnic and then hired some boats for a paddle. We had a great time and there were chipmunks that nabbed my little boys popcorn. The lake is not big and reasonably protected so great for your paddlers. Two single kayaks and a 3 person canoe for 1 hour was about 50... More

An iconic view of Mt. Lassen at sunset. Simply beautiful! On our last day visiting Lassen Volcanic National Park, we stopped to take sunset pictures of Lassen Peak from Manzanita Lake. We were rewarded with a beautiful and unforgettable sight.

Nice, gentle loop, almost no one here today . Snow showers clothed the area in an unspoiled elegant beauty. Parking is easy,at the trailhead, with a ranger/info bldg (closed today), bathrooms all very accessible

We had an afternoon stroll on the trail surrounding the lake. We were lucky to see some deers. Also, the view of snowcladed mountain peaks and their shadows on the water was jawbreaking. This is a very easy walk without any elevation gain.
