Traveling San Diego to Phoenix stopped off in Palm Springs then popped into the Joshua Tree National Park. The nearest route for us was the loop... Nice walk, great views took us about 2 hours to walk the loop and took loads of photos :-)

We stopped here on our way out for a bathroom break and to compare it to the Oasis Visitor Center. This is a smaller center, though with the usual helpful advice and printed info. Water available, too. Must stop if unfamiliar with the park and...More

I would recommend taking the Ranger LED tour of the cactus garden where they give you history of the park as well as information on how the different cactus plants were used by the indigenous cultures

We found a map and brochures here and paid for our park admittance. It was an average Visitor Center experience.

We stopped in to ask a couple of questions about trails/roads in the area. The Ranger we spoke to had a bad attitude. We are an older couple in very good shape, properly attired for hiking, and were asking about a trail. He kind of...More

Don't expect a whole lot here and you won't be disappointed. This is an average National Park service center but since the park has no running water, you better stop here to use the facilities before entering. There are maps and a small gift shop,...More

We always stop at the Visitor's Center to find out places we must see on our visits to National or State Parks. The ranger at this stop was helpful. We walked around outside to see the various markers on desert plants. That helped us identify...More

Informative with souvenirs, maps and water. Flush toilets. Not the most elaborate and it doesn't have much by way of exhibits but it serves its purpose.
