We hiked this trail in November 2018 with our 4yo and 3yo. It was a challenging, but rewarding hike for them, and they handled it like rockstars. The bouldering is fun for kids, we saw a tarantula which mesmerized them, and the hall itself was...More

We visited on a very cold December day. Everything was covered in snow and it was surreal! Beautiful views along the way. Some of the reviews are right in that there are no signs after a point, but I remembered other reviewers saying that you...More

We did this hike in December when the sun was at an angle. We took the main trail in. The first part is flat through desert terrain then you go through the canyon with trees and need to climb over some large rocks. You then...More

We hiked with 3 kids (8yrs and 2yr). This was challenging for them. We couldn’t make it to the very end. There’s a rocky part of the trail towards the end that’s difficult. One of our kids twisted his ankle here. It’s definitely more of...More

This trail is very flat and very easy. My 7 year old raced over the rocks. It only took us less than hour to get to the end of the trail. It is a good short easy hike to experience some pretty views here.

We had a few hours to kill and chose the Devil's Hall Trail because it was the shortest. We are not hikers and were ill prepared for this. The first mile is easy walking with some elevation and descent, but once you get to the...More

We only had time for one hike in GMNP and a moderate hike like Devil's Hall fit the bill. The trail through the wash was fun, but it really get's interesting when you hit the Devil's Hall, a narrow slot canyon. The canyon has very...More

I didn’t have much time while visiting Guadalupe Mountains National Park so the one hike I chose to go on was the Devil’s Hall Trail. The hiking brochure from the visitor center lists it as 4.2 miles round trip with moderate difficulty. I was able...More

My buddy and I did this trail in the evening in early April. Like other trails in the park the footing isn't always the best so I'd recommend wearing shoes with some ankle support. The hike itself was enjoyable including climbing up the wall and...More

We went 5 miles and turned around since it was late afternoon. The trail appeared to have several more miles past our stopping point.
