This is a very interesting place if you like history. It’s in a beautiful setting and was fun to see. It’s easy to walk around and relaxing for young children.

We visit regularly! One of our favorite places in The Smokies! The history is incredible. Less crowded when the lightening bugs aren’t bringing in the crowds.

After reading about this "ghost town" we decided to go see it. Its not very well marked but if you can find the Elkmont Campground , you'll eventually find this street as you can see camp spots from the abandoned town. Interesting reading and walk...More

We thoroughly enjoyed taking in the history of this area. We walked around for several hours exploring but we like hiking and adventuring. We were there during the synchronized lightening bugs so it was a bit crazy but it was one of our favorite things...More

This is a place that was a resort town about a hundred years ago. You drive back to the area and you can see the old buildings that are still standing there. There’s not much else there but there are hiking trails in the immediate...More

We really enjoyed touring this little ghost town. A little difficult to find but so worth it. It’s beyond the campground

We visited late in the afternoon and were amazed that this had been left to decline to this condition, worth a stop to explore the old buildings.

We have hiked here in the past. This year when we returned, all of the buildings had been removed due to the poor condition of the buildings and safety issues. Only steps, foundations and chimneys remain. These areas are roped off with signs advising you...More

Sad to see it change. These canins stood empty for many years. Now, some have been razed and others restored. No long a ghost town...but simply what is left of an era with sign posts and history.

Not the abandoned ghost town it's made out to be. Several people there when we went, you can't get into an the buildings, and I know people that live in worse shape houses than those were. You can drive right up, and there is a...More

There is no charge, it is self guided. They have little informational pedestals around to give you some history. They are currently renovating a lot of the old resort cottages, so I'm sure they will have more labels and... More
