The lure of the GSMNP lies in its miles of beautiful streams, adventurous back country and scenic winding roads. Little River road is one of those roads that meanders through the mountains offering breath taking views around every bend. As you drive slowly through the mountainous terrain, you can feel the stress of a busy life melt away. Be courteous... More

This road is used to get to Cades Cove and Townsend if you are going that way. It does have a few popular stops along the way like laurel falls trail, sinks waterfall and meigs waterfall.

Peaceful, beautiful drive in the Jeep with the roof and doors off. Lots of places to pull off and enjoy the views or go for a swim. Slow down and enjoy the view.

The drive down Little River Road from Sugarlands Visitor Center to Cades Cove is a beautiful twisting, turning and meandering experience that will amaze you with its beauty. There are many great pull offs where you can hike, enjoy a riverside picnic, play in the water and get awesome pictures.

Little River Road is a wonderful drive. From Sugarlands Visitor Center to Cades Cove is about 20 miles of a rushing mountain river, waterfalls, lots of pullovers, and hiking trails. This is one of the most photographic areas of Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Easy pace trail that follows the water and is suitable for everyone. Many places where you can relax and it also wanders through the abandoned Elkmont community.

Thank goodness we found a least traveled route with lots of pull offs, areas to get in the water, and best of all- nice wide walking trails with very slow slope. Get away from the crowds here. Extremely easy hikes are hard to find in Smoky Mtn National Park, so this is a gem! Little River Trail follows the Little... More

The drive through the road was amazing with the green trees on both sides and the scenic view of the smokies. The river flowing along the way was amazing with many places to pull up and take pictures. At few places, you can get down to the river and stand in the water and take pictures but it can be... We enjoyed the drive! The scenery can't be beat. We stopped along the way and found a spot along the river to eat lunch.

So good that there are areas to pull off and take pictures of this beautiful area. Really enjoyed the scenery and it's great that people can enjoy getting into the river for splashing as well as fishing!
