Beautiful walk up to the falls. It is an upward climb up but it makes it that much easier to come down. Views of the fall was definitely worth the hike up. It was neat to be able to walk behind the falls.

This is a rough one with lots of rocks and exposed roots hard on the tootsies if you decide to hike in flip flops. In fact this trail is known as the Trillium Gap Trail and is used by the park service to resupply the...More

This trail is long enough round-trip and strenuous enough to be a good hike for the day without being exhausting. Enjoyed this 1 followed by other activities later.

We were at the trail head at 8 am and parking was easy. However, as we were leaving around 10:30 am, parking was scarce. The trail was a fairly easy incline most of the way. The first hundred yards were the most difficult. The waterfall...More

Follow every piece of advice you hear about coming early to this trail and the other trails along the motor trail. Parking is very limited! The trail is nice. If you are not use to hills this might be challenging on the way up but...More

This is a fantastic trail located on the Roaring Fork Motor Trail. There is plenty of parking, and the trail is easy to navigate. The falls while not tall were impressive with volume, and the ability to walk behind them. This is one of the...More

This short trail off the Roaring Fork Driving Loop is a great chance to get out and stretch your legs.  A pretty easy, covered hike takes you to a small waterfall.  The best part is you can actually get behind the falls and walk back there...More

This was a bit of a challenge for me being from Florida, but it was still doable. I would not recommend trying it in the afternoon because it gets super crowded. We went at 8 AM on a Sunday and had the trail to ourselves...More

My husband and I took this trail in April. We started around 9am, which was the perfect time; not too hot, and not too cold. We didn't have any issue with the trail (we're not super active normally, but not sedentary either). It took us...More

Very easy gradual hike to the falls. This time of year you do have to start at Rainbow Falls and can walk Roaring Brook Trail or Trillium Gap, I’m happy with dirt and trees. With all the rain the falls were very pretty. Missed the...More

We hiked a bit and then just found some nice flat rocks to picnic on. I'm not sure if there are picnic tables around. We improvised. There may have been picnic tables in the area off the main road, if I am remembering... More
