We enjoyed the hike and the falls. The waterfall is cool and different because you can walk behind it. But get there early. Parking is very limited and we got stuck about a half a mile away from the start of the trail. Trail goes up hill the entire time, so be prepared. I would do the hike again.

My son had never seen water falls before, so we took to the trail of Grotto Falls. It was a bit of an upward hike, but we made it. Well worth the walk. Got rained on a little coming down but the canopy from trees kept us pretty dry. Highly recommend.

This hike is more difficult than the brochures suggest, mainly due to all the rocks and tree roots exposed on the way up. It is a gorgeous water fall though and the fact that you can walk behind it is pretty cool. It was also a little unnerving to find bear feces on the way up, so we knew they... More

This was a beautiful waterfall! The hike up was very rocky and had a lot of tree roots, probably not for younger children, but a challenging hike and worth it when you got there. Got some incredible pictures!

We did this hike with our three kids ages 8, 10 & 13. It was a somewhat strenuous hike with many tree roots and rocks and uphill climbing. The view is worth it ! You pass by three streams and then you finally get to the falls. You can swim in the water and walk behind the falls! Prettiest hike... More

We are not avid hikers so this trail was perfect! There are lots of roots and rock, as it is a hiking trail so just be cautious. Once you get to the top you know why you hiked the 2.5 round trip to get there. We also followed the creek down from the large fall as there are so many... More

Our family really enjoyed this hike to the falls. You are able to walk behind the falls and there is a small pool area right in front of the falls. Be advised that the trail itself has a lot of exposed tree roots and rocks. This trail can get very busy, arrive early to avoid the crowds and be able... More

The road to get here and parking are not great (we saw people parked over 1/2 mile away). The trail is full of roots and rocks (which my boys loved), but is still a very easy shaded hike. The area around the actual falls was great. You could walk behind the waterfall and get into the pool around it. The... More

Took the hike to the falls, it was nice. Prepare to spend 2 hours. On weekends parking can be a challenge. Well worth the hike

My dad and I hiked this less than a week ago. The hike to the falls is entirely up hill. Be prepared for that, and bring water. Once we got to the Falls, it was pretty busy with all the people, but the Falls were gorgeous. You can walk behind the Falls as well. Made it worth the hike up... More
