I love history, so I was interested in seeing this park of the park. I didn't know much about the early days of the park prior to visiting here, so I enjoyed seeing the ferry and "store" and Maud's cabin.

The general store and surrounding buildings are really interesting, and the ferry is a great piece of engineering.

You will get more out of this experience if you are able to visit with the person tending the general store or if you can catch a tour with one of the rangers. It was fun to see the ferry and the cabin along with...More

This was at the bottom of the places we visited in Grand Teton National Park but it is still interesting in its own way. They had some neat things in the little general store. If you have time they do ranger led tours and also...More

I didn't even know this area or a tour for it existed until my 10yo daughter needed a ranger-led activity to get her Jr. Ranger badge. This one fit into our time-frame so off we went. Although the group had a lot of questions that...More

Many people might not stop here. Why not? Well, there aren't any big buildings. The Chapel of the Transfiguration is small -- but you won't find a more stunning view from inside a house of worship anywhere in the world, I'd wager! And the general...More

We did the ranger led tour of Menor's ferry, it was about an hour and worth it. Interesting history of this area and the park in general. Interesting spots in this area that contributed to Grand Teton National Park being formed. Ranger led walk was...More

Then don't miss this gem across the parking lot! Walk the short trails to see pioneer living, including the ferry. I loved this walk even though I skipped the general store due to a tour in progress. The rest of my family wasn't so interested,...More

We enjoyed the short, easy walk down the General Store at Menor's Ferry. Not only do you get an up-close look at how swift the river moves, you can see some historical wagons used to bring the first residents into the Tetons. The General Store...More
