Great place!

We love Colter Bay Area. Beautiful views and excellent place to stay. The water is brisk to play in and clear. Very refreshing, peaceful place. Nice trails around the lake.

The campgrounds are huge. the rangers are friendly until they walk passed your campground and penalize you for everything and anything they can.

We rode horses for an hour to a clearing and were served a great steak dinner with the Tetons as a backdrop. They had a singer that just made the dinner and ambience perfect. The workers from the stable were all very nice. I HIGHLY recommend this. There were only 12 horses and 1 wagon (only 6 were in the... More

Stopped here for information and rest stop. Stayed for the ice cream and shopping at Colter bay general store. I was able to stock up on some camping items. Bought the kids sweatshirts.

This is a pretty and bustling little area in GTNP that has some great hikes, the opportunity to rent boats, kayaks, or canoes, as well as take a scenic or meal cruise along Jackson Lake. They have a visitor center, general store, Marina with a store, lodge, etc.

We have booked fishing trip at Colter Bay Village Marina through Jackson Lake Lodge 7 months in advance. Our guide, Patrick, put us into the boat without a word, demanded to have a seat without moving and start trolling. In one occasion, when fish caught the bait, started reeling himself and finally gave the rod to my son to continue... More

We stayed 2 nights in a cabin at Colter Bay Village. We knew it would be basic - and it really was! We had a one room cabin that had 2 doubles, 1 twin and a roll out bed. It's was an extremely small ( very cosy!) cabin. The bathroom was tiny! Bed were also small doubles and not that... More

Spent a week in a five person cabin in Colter Bay Village in the Tetons. Cabin was basic and the seasonal international student maids did the best they could with basic commodities. Anyone who visits the Teton and Yellowstone NP's know demand is high for accommodations. Therefore, providers only have to provide the basic services and still get away with... More

We booked early and got a better rate here. View is limited from all cabins at Colter Bay Village, but you are a short walk from the marina/lake to see the Grand Tetons. The double cabin is exactly what it sounds like enter to a small hallway with open closets and a door to the left to bedroom, a door... More
