The walk out is about 20 minutes. It's on a well groomed path through beautiful Ponderosa Pines. Once you get there, it's well worth the stop and effort. It was the most lovely spot we visited in Grand Canyon National Park.

If you have limited time in Grand Canyon, we would suggest you to take the red route along the Hermit road to Hermits Rest point. While there are multiple look out points for viewing the majestic Grand Canyon, Hopi Point probably offers the best views. Highly recommended to make this stop and spend some time to marvel at the gorgeous... More

This is my favourite viewpoint @ the south rim, this has 360 degree views and is generally crowded but it has enough room for you enjoy the beauty and tranquility of the place . It was great that it had a restroom as it's a long way from the visitor centre.

Took a trip to the south rim of the Grand Canyon on thanksgiving. Loved the spots on the red trolley line with Hopi Pt being my favorite. Broadest views including Colorado river. Not as crowded as the locations near the Village. Gorgeous.

We were on a bus tour of the Canyon and this was one of our favorite stops. We had a good driver and guide named James. Nice trails all around the point for all different views.

Saw at the visitor centre that this was a great place for a sunset. Well they weren't wrong! One side lights up with the glow (husband taking photos there with other photographers) then turn to the other side to watch the actual sunset. The shuttle bus leaves straight after sunset, making it very easy to arrive and leave.

Really awesome view from Hopi point and just walking distance from Powell point. It was definitely one of the better views we saw on the hermits rest buses.

Great overlook of the Grand Canyon. You can get here by walking the rim trail or by taking the free shuttle bus. It's a good place to see a wide view of the canyon.
