This is the premier spot to watch a sunset in the canyon...heck in the world. A crowd will form and the road is closed, so the shuttle bus is your best option.

Just saw the sunset from Hopi point (with hundreds of others) on Wednesday evening. It's beautiful to watch the sun dip below the canyon in the far horizon, but I may suggest another location since it does get crowded and some wanted to look at the shadows on the rocks rather than the sun itself.

Every view point is great here. It is just an amazing sight! The fire on the North Rim is visible; thankfully the wind is blowing the other direction so there was no smoke our way. I am surprised by how few rails there are and how dumb/risky kids and adults are on the edge of the rim!

Another large point with great views. Great view for sunsets. One of few points that have restrooms. Shuttle bus drops you at the bus sign - you would return to same spot to return EXCEPT buses after sunset board at the bath rooms area.

Make sure you move your car or park in the village parking! Get there early because the sun surprisingly goes down fast. LiterAlly was so beautiful.

The roads were blocked off so we had to hike from our van up to Hopi Point for the sunset. Well, we could have taken the bus, it turns out, but we chose not to. It was a lengthy and strenuous hike uphill along the trail with awesome, breathtaking views down into the canyon. My wife and daughter had a... More

We took a bus tour and this was one of the stops - WOW! Some of the best views of the canyon! We loved every moment and got some great pics.
