Hopi Point is accessible only by the Red Line shuttle most of the year. There are some stairs to ascend and descend but easy overall. One of the best sweeping views of the canyon from east to west. You can be there for a great sunrise and sunset.

First time from this view. We stood for the longest time mouth open and eyes bugged out. Such beauty that just keeps getting better. If you're ever anywhere remotely close, you must go and see for yourself.

You have to be in better physical shape to walk from the El Tovar area to Hopi Point. But when you get there the views are stunning especially for sunset. It's worth the walk

We hopped off the 'return' shuttle bus from Hermits Rest and walked along the rim trail to Powell Point. This isn't a long walk, but the trail comes pretty close to the edge at times, so be warned if you're not too good with heights! The views that you pick up along the was are just stunning, and if, like... More

Gives you the best panoramic view of the canyon of all the points. Has a restroom and is often crowded.

This is the place to watch the sunset. Accessible only by the free shuttle bus, you have to park by the village and board the shuttle for a 15-minute ride to Hopi Point. Because it's a popular place to watch the sunset, it gets crowded. The line for the shuttle can get a little long, so arrive early. If you... More

This seems to be THE place to see the sunset according to the crowds there when we visited. Easy to see why as it has a couple of tantalizing glimpses of the Colorado shining silver in the evening light. Still, there's more than enough space for everyone if you're prepared to sit on a rock.... Be prepared for a long... More
