You can go souvenir and gift shopping or pickup needed items for your camper. You can grab lunch or even a bottle of wine. Access is easy with the buses and of course, beautiful to look at as well. Everything was clean and well maintained.

It was a pleasant experience to visit Grand Canyon Village during April and May and to not feel like we were being ripped off. Larger centers are a couple of hours away so commercial establishments here have you at their mercy, but unlike other places...More

A Great place to stay when planning your trip to the Grand Canyon. Restaurants, shops, nice hotels....and even grazing Elk! Not too commercialized and everything within walking distance.

You can walk to the village from the car parking or take the shuttle bus. Good place for a meal or just a drink and also has some shops selling mare than tacky souvenirs.

The village offers free history movies of the canyon and rangers tours. The rim is steps away to see what nature has done over thousands of years.

There were lots of people with dogs on leashes when we were there so I'd say the answer is yes. Make sure you have a really good leash because there are a lot of places with no guard rails.

Hello! A quick question about the Grand Canyon Village. I'm trying to find out if this is the best location to go for someone that has a current foot problem. We can't walk very far, but really want to see the grand canyon. Does the shuttle take you close to the canyon view? ANy help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. THanks!!

Shuttle will work, but you can get great views from El Tovar area + food + shopping. If you have a limited amount of time, I would do this first - then see if you want to explore and have time for other areas.
