This is where most of the hotels and restaurants are located and several bus stops. If you are a day visitor, start at the Visitor Center and park there if possible, and take bus down to the Village. Nice place to walk through the El Torvor hotel, shops and eat in the area, as well as good location to catch... More

This is despite it being somewhat off the beaten path, like Yellowstone and glacier, yet so famous it attracts the crowds nonetheless. While the north rim is splendid and, according to some, more beautiful, it's facilities are not as expansive,... More

Located on the South Rim, this small historic area is well-worth exploring. This is where the train let's you off. There are restaurants, water bottle filling stations, and souvenir shops. It is on the level Rim Trail providing terrific views of the canyon.

We really thought the service offered here was top notch. They were great with advice for us on what to do, which trails to walk, the scenic drives to take etc. Good maps and loads of info on the flora and fauna of the area. All delivered with a friendly smile! Super general store and souvenir shop on site, nice... More

It can be crowded, but this is where GC tourism began. Historic buildings, good views of the canyon, food and all conveniences. Definitely worth a stopover.

Best value is getting food and snacks from the General Store. Snacks other places were more expensive and less choices.

as always all the employees and rangers at the NP places are very friendly. The busses are free of charge (also as usual). Basically, I don't know what I could complain about.

Spent 2 days at the Grand Canyon. Enjoyed the village very much. Disappointed that the Hopi Dance Group cancelled their presentation.

We are touring the Southwest and finally made it to the Canyon. In a word, spectacular. We walked the South Rim trail from the Visitor's Center to El Tovar Hotel. The NPS had done a wonderful job making the walk accessible and still maintain the beauty. There really isn't a bad view. There is plenty to do, places to eat,... More
