With Jerry as our knowledgable and attentive guide and driver, the sunset tour was amazing. He took us to vantage points along the south rim of the canyon that were a bit further from the village, and which we had not visited before. He made sure we had plenty of time at each point, and got us to the sunset viewing place with lots of time to set up, get comfortable and then enjoy the beautiful sunset over the canyon. The company had thoughtfully had provided blankets for us to sit on while on the rocks, making the experience even more comfortable.
Great guide, good tour, amazing scenery. Comfortable ride, safe in COVID. Thanks

What a great review, thank you for taking the time to share it, we really appreciate the feedback. We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed your Sunset Tour with Jerry, and that he took great care of you. Our tour includes stops at viewpoints that many visitors don't experience on their own, and we are so happy that you were able to see them. A Grand Canyon Sunset is definitely a memorable experience, and we thank you for letting Buck Wild share that with you!

WOW. Our guide Jerry was amazing, he starting by texting what time he would pickup us up we were a party of three adults. Jerry picked us up early and had another couple on board to which he introduced uu after he introduced himself and advised we would pickup another couple to which he introduced them. He was very familiar with the area being a Navajo. He explained the history of the canyon and the wildlife and we were able to see a lot of elk along the road. Jerry took us to several wonderful viewing areas where we could observe the majestic Grand Canyon. Jerry shared some the History of the Navajo Nation which I enjoyed as I am a amateur SW history buff.

I am so, so happy we booked this tour. It was a very spur of the moment trip for us and Buck Wild took all the work out of the planning I would have had to do. Gigi was very lively, informative and had wonderful commentary. It was a bit icy/snowy but her driving made us feel very safe the entire time. If you’re reading this - book now!

I was very disappointed with this tour for the money spent. We went to the first over look, the driver rushed us along to get there dispute my aunt having mobility issues. At no point during the process are you told that they do not accommodate or respect mobility issues. They do not tell you how much walking is involved in a "Hummer Ride". The driver was very uninformative about anything in regards to sites, history, wild life, etc. . Even knowing my aunt was not stable, he led us around by way of a path too narrow for us to walk beside her for balance and with a steep slope to tumble down and possibly off the side instead of telling us we would be better to take her back the way we had came. Even after I started to go back that way and he directed me I was going wrong and to take the other path. Also took us to see the "rubber duck on a rock" that doesn't look like a rubber duck any more because part of it's "head" fell off. WHY is that even a part of this tour? There is so much more to see that is worthy and instead we are shown this???? We were charged an $8 park fee for each of the 5 of us ($40 extra) even though we were already in the park and in fact were picked up from the Yavapai Lodge INSIDE the park. RIP OFF!

Thank you for sharing this review, we appreciate feedback from all of our guests. We are sorry that you did not enjoy your experience, and we invite you to contact us by phone 928-362-5940 or email hello@buckwildhummertours.com so that we can get more information about your tour, including who your driver was, date of tour, and time of tour. Our tours do entail some walking from the parking area at each viewpoint to the viewpoints themselves, but it is usually a short walk and our previous guests with mobility issues have not problems with it, I am sorry that your aunt was not comfortable. We include Duck on a Rock as one of our viewpoint stops because even though some of the formation has crumbled, the viewpoint itself is still an amazing view of the canyon. Our tours include stops at 3-4 viewpoints. Commercial Tour Operators have to pay the National Park Service a fee for every person we take on tour, and that $8 fee is included in the price of the tour for every passenger 16 years and older. Again, I am sorry that you did not enjoy your experience, and look forward to hearing from you so that we can look into this matter.

Rating is no reflection on Buck Wild. Our tour guide was amazing. We booked through grand scenic and paid a lot of money for a flight to south GC and Humvee. 2 of the guests with our group made us late leaving Boulder City and then our tour lasted 1.5 hours with only 2 viewpoint stops. Our guide said she was ‘conscious of a flight time’ and the very 2 Australian women who made us late leaving Boulder City had booked helicopter flights so we were sat around waiting for over an hour doing nothing. We could have spent this time in the park. Completely ruined our day and I was very disappointed the minority were catered for over the majority. These guests were also extremely rude leaving all their rubbish on the humvee which was disgusting.
I think this is more a reflection on grand scenic or whoever allowed our group to be at the beck and call of 2 guests other itinerary

Thank you for the review, we appreciate the feedback. We are happy that you enjoyed your Buck Wild Hummer Tour and that your guide took great care of you. We are very sorry that other passengers on your flight from Boulder City caused a delayed departure and delayed landing at the South Rim; we are looking into the details of this tour and will contact you after we do.

Just a so/so tour. Would have been nice to know that the ride was going to be extremely windy and cold. Was not expecting that. We took the sunset tour, but the sunset spot the guide had planned was blocked off, so the rest of the tour was hurried so the guide could get us to another spot in time for sunset, but even then we didn't get a really good spot to view sunset. Was not really impressed. Also, the restroom we stopped at was totally disgusting. Smelled horrible and the floor was so sticky I had to clean the bottom of my shoes afterwards.

I am sorry that you didn't enjoy your experience. I believe they were doing some road construction/paving and some viewpoints were blocked off, and we did not receive any notice of these closures before starting our tours. I am sorry that you felt rushed as your guide searched for a good sunset spot and that you were disappointed in the final spot chosen. And while we have no control over the conditions of the restrooms in the National Park, I am very sorry that there were not up to standard. If you would like to discuss more details of your tour so that we can learn more about what led to your disappointment and get the guide's perspective, please call us 928-362-5940 or email hello@buckwildhummertours.com. Thanks for the review, we appreciate the feedback.

Stoney picked us up right at our RV park and roll us to the Best views of Grand Canyon. We had our 6 and 7 year old sons with us, and he was awesome with them. He kept everyone entertained the whole time. He was extremely helpful and telling us not only everything we could possibly want to know about the canyon, but also gave us tips for where to park our RV and watch the sunset without a huge crowd of people. We highly recommend Buck Wild and absolutely loved everything about our tour. Thanks Stoney!!

It was a fabulous tour to view the sunset at the Grand Canyon in an ideal location. And we were not let down. Trey our driver was fabulous, stopped for a few scenic view shots and got us to a perfect location for the sunset where we sat among some boulders with only a small crowd of people. Our guide was funny, helpful with general tips about the Grand Canyon and just made the trip better. He was very knowledgeable about the area as well. An excellent trip all around. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to view the perfect sunset at the Grand Canyon!

We took the Buckwild Hummer Sunset Tour in October 2021.
Gigi was our tour guide and she was absolutely wonderful! She took photos for everyone in our group and she took us to the best spots for views of the canyon. She made the trip the best it could be! She was super knowledgeable about everything! We learned a lot about the history of the canyon and the area of Tusayan.
Out of our 5 days at the grand canyon, the Buck wild tours are some of our very best pictures, even compared to the skywalk and the helicopter tour.
100% worth it and 100% recommend taking a Buckwild Hummer tour!

I am from PA and my husband and I traveled to Sedona for vacation. We did a combination helicopter/hummer tour of the Grand Canyon. Buck Wild hummer tours were fantastic from start to finish. The check -in process was easy and quick, the waiting area was clean, spacious, and the staff was friendly. Our tour guide, Jerry, a Navaho native was awesome. He not only drove us to the best look out areas, but he took us "behind the scenes" down some lesser known trails for gorgeous and unobstructed views of the canyon. His knowledge of the canyon, history of the surrounding area and Navaho culture was very interesting. Jerry showed us plants that were used as medicine by his grandfather. He chanted a Navaho prayer of healing and had everyone captivated with his stories. Jerry, and Buck Wild tours was well worth the trip from Sedona to the Grand Canyon.
