I recruited 7 family members to join me on the 6 Day, 5 Night Motor Raft Trip with Arizona River Runners through the Grand Canyon. We were all super-satisfied with ever aspect of this trip! The trip itself was amazing with the rapids, the surprises along the way with the color of the Little Colorado River, the waterfalls we encountered, the Havasu Falls, and all of the beautiful Scenery. And we met several very nice people who were on the boats with us.

Then there was the crew! The guides were amazing also! They were so nice and informative and they worked so hard to be sure that we were so well taken care of! The boats were in tip-top shape and the company provided us with everything we needed both on and off the boats. They were obviously very experienced! The meals were delicious! The guides knew where to stop on the river for the evening and they were great navigators on the river.

We had four men and four women and even though my family and friends doubted that my wife could make it for 6 days without a hair dryer, she made it with flying colors and had a fantastic time! I highly recommend this wonderful trip with Arizona River Runners!

Perfect way to see the Grand Canyon. Arizona River Runnners are very professional and respectful of the unique habitat while understanding that rafters are paying to have adventurous fun. It's a camping trip, so don't expect to always be comfortable but that's part of the adventure. Trip of a lifetime.

I would recommend an Arizona River Runner's oar trip to anyone contemplating floating in the Grand Canyon. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, safe, and great cooks. They made sure that the guests in our party got the most out of the experience. I was particularly impressed that the majority of the guides had 100 to 300 trips of worth of experience in navigating the 125 rapids along the river's length. Job well done!

3 day adventure - This was the experience of a lifetime! Once we met the Arizona River Runners at the hotel, we took a plane, a helicopter, a raft, a speedboat, a horse, an ATV, and a bus. (The horse and ATV were optional) Camping in a covered wagon was an experience I really enjoyed. I loved sleeping in a cot at the bottom of the canyon...the stars were amazing. We saw 10 shooting stars. (No bugs!) The rafting was so relaxing and the scenery was beyond amazing. We stopped at different places while rafting so see ancient cave paintings, to jump off cliffs into the river (optional of course) and to see an amazing waterfall in a cave. Food was really good! No one could get hungry with all the snacks they carry. This was the experience of a lifetime and I would absolutely do it again!

We did the three-day Bar 10 Ranch/rafting trip. From the time we booked our trip, until the time we were dropped off at the end, Arizona River Runners were friendly, attentive and gave us first class service. They answered our questions over the phone and via email, and since this was our first rafting trip, we had a lot of questions. Once we were on the trip, every detail was covered. We knew we were in good hands. Our guide Ellie was so helpful and friendly, as were all the river guides. I would recommend this trip to anyone. The plane ride to the ranch and the helicopter ride into the canyon were like bonuses. The cowboys and cowgirls at the ranch were awesome, too. Wait until you see how many stars are visible as you camp by the river.

Arizona River Runners is an amazing outfit. They anticipate your needs and exceed expectations time and time again. Tim and Paige were always there to help, guide, and inform but were also distant enough to let you have your own experience. The full Canyon experience is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see and experience the beauty and thrill of the GC. This is not glamping but the age spread in our group was 24 - 81 years old so it is an opportunity to almost any age. If I did this trip again I would have each day of clothes in a zip loc bag to protect from the sand and your other clothes as they get wet and dirty. Don’t worry about food - you will be impressed! They even had ice! If you want an exceptional trip down the GC - Arizona River Runners will do everything within their power to help you make it happen. I was outside my comfort zone and was able to love the entire experience because of ARR.

The 13 day oar raft trip with AZ River Runners was meant to be the trip of a lifetime, and it wildly exceeded my expectations. The skill of the guides was unbelievable. How they approached the rapids & then skillfully maneuvered their rafts or dory through them quickly dispelled any sense of fear & quickly led to a rush of excitement. Their river stories and rich knowledge of the history & geology of the canyon made the trip even more special & always kept us entertained. With only oars the beauty, peace and quiet of the canyon could be fully appreciated. The food was outstanding and their emphasis on hygiene kept every one safe & able to enjoy the trip. And sleeping under the stars at the bottom of the Grand Canyon was the icing on the cake!
Thank you Doug, Jimmy, Brad, Joe, Trevor, Riley, Katie & Coleman for making this such an incredible experience!

This adventure was was an eight day trip traveling down the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon using small inflatable rafts conducted by Arizona River Runners (ARR). Each raft carried four customers and a ARR boatman (male and female) who skillfully rowed the rafts and navigated the challenges of the canyon and river. All ARR staff who I came in contact with in going on this adventure were friendly, knowledgeable and skillful in their role. All equipment used for the trip was high quality and in good condition. The food provided during the trip was tasty and plentiful. I am vegetarian and the ARR staff always made sure there were meatless options available at every meal for myself and the other vegetarians on the trip. The trip down the canyon was spectacular to say the least. The beauty of the canyon, the river with times of dead calm to raging rapids, hiking in side canyons, the wildlife and the wonderful people who were also on the trip made this one of the truly great experiences of my life.

Just outstanding. Amazing that such a complicated trip went off without a hitch. The crew was outstanding and took great care of us! Rick is so caring and helpful. Our Captain Jake with his booming voice, knowledge of the geology and phenomenal storytelling ability only made it better. Thank you!

My family including my husband our young adult “children” and their partners loved this river trip! We were super happy with our guides/crew and our group of people with whom we connected and made new friends. Safety was never in doubt. We had great guidance, history, geology education in bits, food and entertainment at just the right times. The expertise of our boat pilots was terrific and they were all attentive and helpful at every turn. This is a not to be missed experience and the best way to see the Grand Canyon!
