With all the amazing views around Glacier National Park it can be tempting to drive on by yet another lake. But, resist that and pull over. Get out of the car! Walk away from the road and find a place to sit down. Then spend some minutes taking in the view before raising the camera. Remember, the purpose of being... More

Looks like it is not real. Looks like a picture in High Definition. One of the top things to see in the Park

This is a must-see lake and is easy to view while driving to other sites, such as Many Glacier. We experienced weather blowing from the higher elevations and created a rainbow during our trip. There is also a camp and hotel called Rising Sun along the route.

Take your time on the East side of Many Glacier to stop and enjoy the beauty of St. Mary's lake. There are dozens of places to pull off of the road and take photos. On a sunny day, the lake takes on the color of the sky, and when the wind is still, there's a mirror effect. Changing autumn leaves... More

Beautiful lake at the east end of the Going To The Sun Road alongside a very good road leading to the east end of the road itself. Plenty of viewpoints and pullouts to help you appreciate what's there and some good trails if you're feeling in need of exercise

This is a very tiny island in St. Mary Lake, which can be seen from the Going To The Sun Road. It was very cloudy when we were there, so I didn't get a good picture.

We took the Going to the Sun Road from the west to east entrance and stopped at St. Mary's Lake at the bottom closer to the east entrance. The day was overcast and yet the view was still beautiful. There are so many pull-overs in Glacier NP and you must stop at all of them (at least if there's parking... More

It is off the beaten road, and the road can be a bit rough. Take it and be charmed by the sights. Watch out for the rock "bears". It really wasn't a bear -darn

Beautiful Lake and understandably one of the most photographed areas of the Park. Be sure to find out about the Legend of Goose Island.
