This visitor center—royal palm was told to Us as the best spot to see wildlife. We drove over and saw some birds and learned about the park.

So many different animals to see and hear, from birds to Gators truly a wonderful place to visit. Plenty of walking so I'd suggest a good pair of walking shoes, sneakers, bug repellant and water of course.

Closed due to Hurricane Irma, even though this was six weeks after. Most of the park and the trails were closed, and this wasn't advertised upon entrance.

Start here for the Anhinga Trail, but before you leave your car, be sure to secure a tarp over your car to keep the vultures from munching on the rubber window gaskets. There is a bin full of tarps for you, just do it! The...More

Nearly everything in the Everglades is flat, so you're probably okay. Anhinga is the most popular, for sure.

Only by taxi, which would be pricey. Boat tours are available in Flamingo and Everglades City, which are both very far from Miami Beach. If you're thinking air boat, those aren't allowed in the park because they're loud and... More
