Based on rave reviews, I was thrilled to get here and then less than thrilled to actually experience it. Yes, the staff inside the buildings appeared to be relatively helpful, though the only excursions available were $60-70+ boat trips with a ranger. You can check...More

I understand the park service is under funded but to let this entire area just go is kind of sad. We have visited more than 20 national parks and this is the worst I have ever seen for a visitors center. I understand they are...More

The centre is ok and explains what is happening in the area. The best of what is happening is in the river near by where you will American crocs and close up.

This visitors centre is ok for refreshments, souvenirs, and toilets, but is nothing special. The hotel is still not open since (I believe) it was flooded some years back.

After doing the visitor center near the entrance we continued down the road, into the park and to Flamingo. The Flamingo location has camping, boat tours, a marina and visitor center. It's worth the drive into the park.

The Flamingo Visitor's Center has seen its better days and is pretty limited in exhibitions and resources. But you are hopefully visiting for the natural park and that is amazing. It's a 45 minute drive through varied ecosystems to Flamingo from the park entry gate...More
