Triple Lakes was a beautiful hike, especially with the changing leaves. We are experienced hikers but wanted to go into Denali’s backcountry and were nervous to go alone. We booked the wilderness tour thinking it would be more of a backcountry experience, as in off the beaten path. It ended up being an on-trail hike of the Triple Lakes trail. Though we had fun, we felt that after doing the hike we could have definitely done it on our own. We saw several other parties of 2 on the trail and although it’s safer to hike in bigger groups, I think this trail was well-traveled enough to have hiked just the two of us. However, that being said, if you are inexperienced, I think this tour would be perfect. And we definitely enjoyed hearing about all the wildlife and plant life from our awesome guide Dana. She is super knowledgeable and definitely enhanced the experience.

Dana led a 3 hour hike into Denali. We viewed 3 separate lakes and mountain views. She shared fun facts and great knowledge regarding edible plants and berries, wildlife clues and behavior. I learned so much! She paced the hike perfect to fit our comfort level. It was the highlight of our summer. I would definitely hike with Dana again!

We took our 8 year olds on a heli-hike and it was by far the most amazing experience we've ever had. I mean come on, a helicopter? Pilot Cam dropped us off in what felt like the middle of nowhere, and Jeff spent 3 hours hiking with us, describing the sub-arctic tundra and all that lives and grows there. It was very special indeed. Good people loving and respecting Denali and teaching our kids about the precious environment. Thank you 1 million times over.

We did an 8 hour guided tour into the park. We got to drive our own vehicle provided with Jeff guiding us in front with walk-in talkie. It was perfect. Rare opportunity to be in our own vehicle and driving, and not on a bus. Jeff was knowledgeable and helpful. His stories are great. We can’t wait to come back for a Helihike!!

So glad we did this hike. My boyfriend and I were picked up at our hotel by our guide Dana, who was awesome. After asking some questions to understand our skill level and what kind of hike we were interested in, we landed on a moderate level hike along the Triple Lakes Trail. Dana shared lots of information on the indigenous plant and wildlife, and we were able to try some of Alaska’s wild berries. The hike was challenging, with beautiful views, and Dana gave us safety tips in case we had any bear or moose sightings. We did not have any encounters, but I felt safer with Dana as our guide. Thanks for a great hike!
