Dan was excellent. Dan was thorough, honest, sincere, informative, and considerate. Dan explained the pluses and minuses of visiting Kobuk Valley, Gates of the Arctic, Katmai, and Lake Clark National Parks. Dan explained the complete situation. I would recommend Dan as a 10 on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the best. Dan answered all my questions and shared... More

We were prepared for all weather, it was fall, almost winter. Good rain gear and a positive attitude is a must. Well prepared and knowledgeable guides. Good food and snacks. Outstanding scenery, thank you Lake Clark National Park. Wilderness at its best. Sheep, Caribou, beaver, swans... no bear. Super trip

If you are looking for a true adventure in Alaska, this is your trip. In 9 days you travel Alaska in van, Alaska Ferry, float planes, motor boats, trains. You stay in comfortable lodges, local hotels and camp for 3 nights in Denali Park. Adventures include ice climbing, sea kayaking and amazing hikes. The trip starts with the lodge portion.... More

My husband and I went on the Alaska Alpine Adventures(AAA) Denali 4 day/3 night Basecamp hiking trip in early July 2016. Shortly after booking the trip over the internet we received an email with specific details about the trip, possible details of an alternative trip if the weather was bad and a list of essential gear. We appreciated the level... More

We also did the 4 day/3 night basecamp with them. I personally would possibly recommend the day hike over the 4 day/3night. It goes to the same area which is very beautiful and private and far away from the tourist area and includes a short float plane ride each way with views of Denali on your way in. We were... More

Although you may think this trip is expensive it is TOTALLY WORTH IT! Our guide, Pete, was awesome. He knew so much not only about Denali (which he has climbed) but so many skills that were extremely helpful while we were out there. We fortunately got 4 beautifully sunny days during our time in the park (We did the 4... More

It’s going to be a little long so bear with me. The bottom line is super positive, just do it, you won't regret it. I was lucky enough to join 2 back to back backpacking trips with them – 7 days in Lake Clark national park and 7 days in Denali national park. I’ve joined many travel companies around the... More

I spent 4 days basecamping and hiking in Denali with a wonderful guide, Brooke Edwards, on a trip organized and operated by Alaskan Alpine Adventures. The trip was wonderful. The organization not only impeccable, but also impressive. Because it is non trivial at all. Including a wonderful flight and a pilot, Chip, who came to pick us up on quite... More

We recently returned from a six-day back-country adventure in Denali Nat'l Park and were very impressed with the entire experience provided by AAA. How's this for customer service? The airline misplaced my backpack with all my gear, promising to get it to me possibly that night or later the next day. One of the managers/guide, Aaron Fetter, responded to our... More
