At 8:50pm on June 23, a very energetic and knowledgeable employee of Denali ATV Adventures picked us up in front of our hotel for the 2.5 hour Midnight Sun Adventure. We were transported to Healy, just outside of DNP border, on a shuttle bus to begin the tour. Each of us in our party were given a single rider Kodiak ATV, a helmet, a pair of goggles and a mask (for dust protection). Because of the lack of rain, it was a thrilling but very dusty ride. We went over and through all sorts of crazy terrain, including a river. The guides stopped a few times times to share fun information about the area and allow for photo opportunities. We wrapped up the tour shortly before midnight. The guides were all very personable, energetic and extremely patient with the slower riders. Don't miss this one when in Denali.

***FYI*** - Just read the recent "Don't waste your time" review where the reviewer was forced to drive alongside a guide on a two seater. That policy was made very clear to all of us before we began our tour. The guides stated clearly before we set out that if any of us experienced difficulty or demonstrated the inability to follow the group or properly operate an ATV, we would have to ride the remainder of the tour next to one of the guides who was on a two seater ATV. It is an excellent rule that is in place for your safety as well as everyone else's around you.

The tour was guided by Devin, Chris, and Danny who were on top of their job. In the beginning there were a few issues but they were quick to fix them. The ATV ride was led by them and they took it at a perfect speed. At no time did it feel like the pace was too fast or two slow. We got to stop at three beautiful viewpoints with historical and geographical importance. The routes were well planned, giving a sense of adventure and some really nice views. My family got a video package and they were quick on uploading it and the video was surprisingly very good quality. Overall, it was great ATV tour and I would recommend this to anyone who wants to have a blast at Denali

We booked a private 2.5-hour ATV ride with Denali ATV Adventures. We were a family of three (two adults and a 10-year-old) and so we chose a 3-seater machine so that we could all ride together. John (trail name Ghost, I think?) was our guide. We had a very fun time! He took us all around the private land near Denali Park, showing us some absolutely gorgeous landscapes, including hilly areas overlook Healy and a big dry glacial creek bed. The weather was so perfect; it was mid-July and it was about 70 degrees and sunny. All of us had a blast. Our one recommendation would be to DEFINITELY wear eyewear and a neck gaiter. Our ATV had a windshield and we still got dust EVERYWHERE. I wore sunglasses but none of us had the gaiters and so we were wiping dust out of our eyes and coughing/sneezing it up the rest of the day. It was still fun and didn't bother us that badly but I would definitely do that differently in the future. Overall, really great ride!

BEWARE! Be careful booking with this company if you plan to have them pick you up. They are deceptive with the departure times and then keep your money, saying you were a “no show”. My tickets said departure was at 10:00 from my hotel. Nobody showed up. A little after 10:00, I called Denali ATV Adventures asking where the shuttle was and the woman said the driver already left because the departure time was at 9:30. I told her I was out there at 9:30 because I made sure to be early as I didn’t want to miss the shuttle. Then she said the departure time was actually 9:25 for my location! I told her my tickets state the departure time from my hotel is 10:00 and she said that is departure time from their location. This was not on my ticket! I asked why the driver didn’t try to contact me prior to leaving and she said he did. I said I didn’t have any missed calls or texts and she said I probably didn’t have service (even though I was speaking to her from the same location where I was waiting). The lady said the driver would have gone inside to look for me so I asked the front desk and they said they didn’t see anyone from Denali ATV Adventures looking for anyone but they saw a driver from a raft tour company. Denali ATV Adventures refused to give me a refund or even a credit toward a future outing. I ended up purchasing a second outing for later that day at full price because this was a bucket list item and the only day we could do it. When we left for that outing, the driver said he was waiting for two more people. Five minutes later, he ended up leaving without them. Denali ATV Adventures probably kept their money. I also heard the driver talking to a couple who was asking about a pick-up time for a tour the following day. The driver told them to arrive 15 minutes prior to departure, which does not match the 35 minutes prior to departure time I was given by the office staff. Those poor people probably also lost their money. I hope this review will save people some money and stress. There are other ATV companies out there, I would avoid this one.

13/14 of our family celebrated Independence Day by taking the Midnight Sun ATV tour; some rode the mules and the rest were on 4-wheelers. What gorgeous sites and braided streams to ride through. Our tour guides, Megan, Colton and Jeremiah were lots of fun. I enjoyed learning about the rocks and their adventures while living in AK!

I would not recommend this for anyone with a bad back; lots of bumps and slamming.
I would recommend wearing a mask to filter the dirt. I wore mine for dirt and the smoke from a nearby fire. It really messed with our views.

We visited Denali ATV Adventures as an excursion on our Royal Caribbean land tour. It was such a fun adventure! Top rate all around. We were picked up at our hotel, and every part of the tour was well run, and our enjoyment was the top priority. Our host was "Boots", and he did such an amazing job of pointing out landmarks and providing details on the land. He obviously has a love of the land, and he helped us to see why he loves it so much.

Chelsea, Colton & Shane were our guides on the Midnight Sun tour. We had no experience on ATV's but the equipment was in great shape and easy to get up to speed if you know how to drive. The 3 guides complemented each other well. The rest stops were entertaining and informative. I have forgotten the shuttle driver's name but she is a gem. She was the best driver we had in our 2-week Alaska Vacation. She was very engaging, with information on the short ride to the ATV site and the ride back. She even gave me advice on other things like the food options in the area and she was spot on. Thanks! The time went by too fast and the conditions were dry so unfortunately no splashing for us. We will have to do it again!

We did the Midnight Sun Adventure on the side by sides. Suzanne was the bus driver to the starting point. She spotted a moose and baby roadside, and gave us all a great photo op and information on moose. It was so much fun driving and going down the trails. Aaron and Devon made sure we all stayed safe and had fun. The view just before sunset over the mountains was stunning. Highly recommend.

We did this group tour with 2 side by side Wolverine ATVs. My wife drove one with our older daughter (14) and I drove the other with my younger (12). The tour was awesome. The guides were funny and knowledgeable and the tour took place over gnarly terrain but the ATVs handled it like a dream. No complaints whatsoever. It was pretty wet and muddy but that just added to the experience. Definitely wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty!

I've never been interested in this type of thing but decided to try something out if my comfort zone and I'm glad I did! I opted for the two person vehicle to get a steering wheel and it was easy! We drove down trails, over rocks, through puddles and finally across river channels! Others in my group enjoyed the single rider vehicles and one person chose to have a staff member drive her. We all enjoyed the stops where guides shared history of the area. They knew a lot about the geology and were supportive of a new driver. I recommend it!
