We were traveling from Lone Pine into Death Valley. Canyons with so many colors. Parking lot good size. Right off the road so an easy and nice stop.

From the viewing platform at the car park, you can see sections of where the canyon begin but a short walk further down to the edge of the canyon will reward with some better views of the canyon itself. We got here just before sunset...More

Right next to the highway so worth taking the time for a quick stop. You may even see some jets flying by.

The view next to the parking area at the point next to the commemorative plaque is just a partial view of a canyon. The real view is a quarter of an hour's walk away on a dirt track to the right, which could also be...More

The vista is a great view for all but it is a special place for aircraft enthusiasts. The US military fly through the canyon on a regular basis and the sight is very impressive to see.

This is one of the first viewpoints you see when you enter the park from the west. There is a large parking area, and you can see beautiful views from here. I would recommend stopping if you are driving by; otherwise, it's not somewhere you...More

Pulled up in main car park in time to see a fighter jet fly through the canyon seriously close. Drive down dirt road for amazing view, road is rough but we did it in RV no worries don’t believe the drama queens on here

There was a sign with a picture of jet fighters there at the parking lot, and I took a picture of that. While we were there in June, the jets did not fly by. As they come from the nearby Air Force base, I guess it would... More
