This is a wooden boardwalk along a small creek. It’s very different from the rest of the park and a rather relaxing walk. At the far end, around the middle of the loop, you can exit the boardwalk and continue along the creek.

Where are the pup fish ?

Walked the entire one mile board walk and didn't see a single pup fish. This is NOT good. You can walk all the way to Mclean spring from the end of the trail.

Desert Pup Fish are so cute and fun to watch!

There was so much frantic activity the day we watched the pup fish. They seemed to be aware of us on the boardwalk, but were very preoccupied with their mating rituals. There were a lot of flying, biting insects that I kept swatting so we didn't stay here for long.
