Nice short paved hikes with interpretive signage. Great views of the rapids and lava tubes that the river flows through. There is more than one stop, all are worth stopping at.

You see this river several places in Oregon. It has clear water & the surrounding shores are always scenic.

The trip along the river valley was beautiful. We stopped at a little park and ate lunch beside the river. At one point we were escorted by fire personnel because it was quite smoky but while we saw burnt trees, there was no fire near...More

Fast moving and large River, at places you see it in the gorge. There are a number of places on the Rogue where you can white water raft. Enjoyable throughout.

A most beautiful experience driving along the Rogue River with camping, hiking and fascinating flora and fauna. Keep in mind if you hike to see waterfalls that the "easy" label on the brochure doesn't really mean "easy." We tried a moderate hike to see Whitaker...More

The lake itself is just beautiful. The fishing is exceptional. Many people were fishing while we walked along the shoreline. It is a fast moving river and fly casting is the way to go.

The Rogue River is an impressive site. It has some very turbulent waters and is very picturesque. Lots of campgrounds along its banks.

There are 2 places well worth stopping on your way to/from Crater Lake. Rogue River Gorge is a lava formation which the Rogue River churns through--it is unique. The area is well signed and has good paths/view points. Natural Bridge is just down the road...More

There is a fee to get into the park, but it is worth it. And if you are camper type of people definitely do that. Or stay in the lodge. But I say if you are bold then drive around the rim, and if not drive some of it and... More

Crater Lake is Oregon's only National Park and, like others around the U.S., there is a fee for access. If you have a Golden Passport - good for ALL National Parks - just show the pass and you'll get waived in. It's a... More
