Our Lower Cave Tour was an amazing experience...our Rangers were knowledgeable, courteous, safety-oriented, and fun. We descended into Lower Cave on a short rope line, then on 3 separate ladders. Safety was taken very seriously. Headlamps, helmets, and gloves are provided. You do need some...More

Do your research and reserve a tour in advance. It's a great tour with 2 rangers so there is always someone to answer your questions. The tour leaves early so we avoided most of the elevator crowds and it was great to be away from...More

If you’re lucky enough to secure a lower cave tour, then you won’t be disappointed. The tour is ‘ranger lead’ and you will be required to descend down several awkward ladders. If you are in moderately good shape, then you won’t have a problem getting...More

Other than being able to climb down into areas that public was not allowed, it all looked pretty much the same. Not worth spending the extra money in my opinion. There's a lot of climbing and its slippery so be careful!!

Because the elevator wasn’t working, we descended and ascended over 75 stories, and it was SO worth it! If we would have had the choice, we would have walked down the cavern (although, hard in the knees) and have taken the elevator back up (walking...More

This was a wonderful caving experience! You literally get to go into one of the dark holes that you see along the Big Room path! Going down the rope was easy and I had been so nervous about that part! The ranger gave great instructions...More

This is a wonderful small group tour led by two rangers where you get to see a part of the cave system up close and personal. You are supplied helmets and gloves and are guided along a great path that has some slightly difficult sections...More

When my wife and I (in our 70s) approached the rope access down the first part of this cave tour my wife almost backed our. She stuck with it, going (rappelling?) down about 12 ft. and then the set of three steel ladders into the...More

Lower Cave guided tour - cannot speak of the other guided tours but was very happy to secure this one - our last day at the caverns. It took you on a deeper intimate look into the cave formations far from the crowds, so it...More
