Rated strenuous, here's the deal. First 1/5 is certainly much scrambling and difficult. Second 1/5 easy flat. 3rd and 4th fifths are moderate. Final 1/5 to the endpoint is essentially easy flat. The hike from the parking area to the Confluence Overlook is a good 11 mile round trip but well worth the trek. The trail is well marked and challenging in places. This is an interesting walk on the Needles section of Canyonlands NP. It is a 10 mile round trip across the needles with a large variety of scenery and views. easy 8 mile hike through the needles area leading to the confluence overlook.great view of the canyon and the 2 rivers meeting and becoming one.bring water and food and a camera.took me about3 hours. times will vary.
