If you want a Grand Canyon like experience without crowds then is a place for you. Its a killer view from the Dead Horse Point. It is a State Park so you can't get in with a National Park Pass. But the fee is just 10 dollars for a car so not too bad at all. It is definitely worth... More

We love, loved this state park. The cost was ten dollars and worth every penny. We ate our picnic lunch on the balcony of the visitor center. We had a spectacular view of the canyon. Then we drove out to Dead Horse Point. As we were walking out to it a gentleman stopped me and said, “man, I was just... More

This is the number one state park in Utah! They say make a reso way in advance if you want to stay here. You are limited to one week. Great photos from here as well.

Another traveler told us the story of Dead Horse State Park and the horses that died because they could not get to the water so we decided to check it out. This is a state park with a $10 admission fee and well worth it. The enormous expanse of land was remarkable and it put the story into perspective.

This is a state park, not in Canyonlands, so you pay separately to get in. I think it's worth the $10 for the view, but other people may not have that same opinion. I didn't get to hike or anything; we just went for some photo ops and it was beautiful!

Well worth the $10. Easy trails and great overlook views. This park can be done the same day as Canyonland NP if you don't do the longer hikes.

The rim trails were wonderful. Various types of landscapes, vegetation and spectacular views of canyons. Very peaceful. The trails were fairly easy to walk, could be a bit long for small children to go the entire trail. Even driving to the various viewing areas and exploring those provides great views.

A few short hikes along the rim and stunning views of the canyon. Worth the $10 park admission price if you want the best view of the canyon.

This is a State Park, a five mile detour off Highway 313 south, on your way to the Canyonlands. It is the first left from Islands in the Sky Visitor Center Road called long Canyon Road about 2.4 miles to the turn and another four miles in. There is a $10 admission fee for non-residents. It is a well-designed and... More
