Very cool formation

Saw this pretty close on the Navaho loop. Just as with the rest of the formations at Bryce it is worth the trip!

It was one of the best view I've ever seen. Worth the time you have to wait for the perfect light shining the rock.

Bryce Canyon is filled with many interesting and unique rock formations, and this is just another one of them. It's a fine example of the wonders of Mother Nature, but it's not worth going out of your way to see it.

Not much hiking required here to see Thor's Hammer. One of the closer formations. Busy trail. We had fun with it.

Believe it or not, Thor's Hammer is one of the first couple turn outs, Sunset point! Glad we didn't miss seeing it. This particular parking lot had many parking spots, but not all of them did, and parking was still full. Wait for parking if you can, this view is one of the best in the park! Make sure you... More

Bryce Canyon National Park is an amazing place and it comprises of many hoodoos but Thor Hammer is definite one of the most beautiful hoodoo. You can get a view of this Hoodoo right from the rim trail near Sunset Point. But, I strongly recommend that you should take the 15-20 minute hike down the well maintained Navajo Loop Trail... More

Saw Thor's Hammer on the Queen's Garden Hike. It was a little surprising that it looked so small, not like the photos which make it look very massive. But in the end, a beautiful formation created by nature.

Thor's Hammer is an iconic image of Bryce so it is worth seeing -- either on the trail or from the rim. On the other hand, there are so many other hoodoos and sights to see that it would be a mistake to focus just on Thor's Hammer.
