OK, so I am enchanted by the canyon and I see all overlooks and points as fantastic.... so, do not trust my reviews.... go there and confront me and tell me that I am wrong...

The rocks here are a deep grey black in colour. Most of the other parks around the area are quite different. This park is worth while visiting because it is so different. Pulpit Rock has a great outlook and you can see the river below....More

All of the view points on South Rim Road are worth your while. So don't miss any of them. Take your time and enjoy the view.

Great views from this lookout point. This one is accessible on the south rim, $20 entrance fee for a car to the NP, and this is on the western side of the road. Different times of the day give you different pictures due to shadows...More

I couldn't stop starring down at the river. We stayed here a little longer than some of the other viewpoints maybe because it was a beautiful day.

We visited this canyon while vacationing in Gunnison and spent a few hours here. It's not like some of the other canyons and national parks where you can spend days. But, if you are in the area, don't miss it.

This is one of the coolest overlooks. It's so pretty! So massive! Loved every bit of it! Definitely can't wait to be back!

Significant pull out along the south rim road. Gorgeous view of the gorge and the Gunnison river. Gives a good sense of the scope of the canyon

A popular stopping point but worth the trouble. From here you can get one of the better views of the River and how it has cut down into the rock. Excellent for photographs especially if you are short of time.

This overlook is one of many along the South Rim Road inside Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. This overlook offers (in my opinion) the best view of the Gunnison river wayyyyy down below. This is a must-see overlook within the park.
