Interesting rock formation

Short easy hike and good views. Great for photographs too. Interesting rocks and plants en route. Good at any time of day!

Enjoyed the closeup view but really got a kick out of seeing it from Interstate 70, miles to the north as we drove away! The hike to the arch is easy and it occupies a prominent location where it stands alone and very visible from many angles as you drive through the park.

Prior to 1940, the opening in the arch was about half of what it is today and then ... a huge bolder popped out, transforming this monument in a monumental way. Just a reminder that all this is a work in progress ... to be continued ... The arch is on the right, about a mile past Sand Dune/Broken Arch... More

This is a great arch to see at either sunrise or sunset the trail is not very long and an easy hike. the views from around this arch are great and impressive, just take the time to really see what nature has created with water and frost. The Good: beautiful arch and a short walk with very few people on... More

The hike to this arch is easy and it is not too long. It is a quiet hike that few people do. The arch is quite pretty as well and is aptly named.

Spent 5 hours on a driving tour of Arches National Park. I think this is the most breathtaking place I have ever been! If you are ever in a position to see this you must do it! Get there early in the morning or st mid day to avoid lines at the entrance. Allow at least 5 hours to drive... More

The arch can be nearly seen from the road, but the hike to the base is short and easy so unless you are really pressed for time I highly recommend stopping off. We had the trail to ourselves the entire time, and were able to view it in under half an hour. It was my second favorite arch (behind the... More

This was probably our favorite hike in Arches, mainly because we were the only ones on the trail. It's a short and easy hike from the parking area. We went all the way to the base where the rocks and boulders that broke off in 1940 remain and can be climbed on. Wear a hat and bring water.

Let me just start by saying, absolutely nobody else on this trail the whole time we were there. Easy trail to Skyline, awesome pictures and I had to pry my 11 year old out of here to get back to the car. It was beautiful, lots of wildlife because the trail was empty. This was my favorite hike we did... More

This picturesque arch is right off the side of the road and over a short hill. It's just 100 feet or so from the parking area to photo-taking range. For the more adventurous, it is possible to get closer to the arch, but we found the view sufficient from where we stopped. Of all the arches we saw on our... More
