I planned the Day Mountain Summit Tour for us on our Girls' Only Road Trip. Kim, our guide, was knowledgeable and flexible. She shared lots about the history of the carriage roads. Charlie and Charming worked hard on our tour! It was a great surprise to my mom, aunt, and daughter! We plan to go back next year for a... More

Well worth every penny. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable of the history of the Carriage Road and it's bridges. It was a 2 hour tour. Very kid friendly. It was one of our children's favorite activities in the park. A MUST DO!

The carriage roads are not accessible to vehicles. Riding on the horse drawn carriage is the solution if you are not physically fit enough to bike or walk long distances. These roads are beautiful- the dappled light shining through the forest, the sound of a stream during a leisurely ride in a wagon is a wonderful experience. Our guide was... More

We had no expectation about this place. We were simply stopping by every spot marked on the map while at the park. When we drove up, we realized that it was a place for some horse carriage rides. And, there was a public restroom. But very few people around. They had no information of this historical road system on site.... More

I would have given this review 5 stars, but the owners said not once but twice he "didnt want ex-Marines on his Carriage" As a person with a lot of military family, I was HIGHLY offended by that and it took alot for me to not walk away. If my kids weren't with me, I would have. Because of that,... More

We took a two hour carriage ride that departed from Wildwood Stables. It was one of the highlights of our Acadia visit. We paid $36 per adult and highly recommend. The carriage is more of an open wagon with center facing (padded) bench seats. Pulled behind two draft horses, it seated 12 people and was bouncy but fairly comfortable. You... More

Great ride thru a beautiful setting. I could repeat what the others have said, but that just takes your time to read it and look for some nuance. Colleen was our entertaining guide and the beautiful Shires, Mary and Moses did the hard work. We took the 2 hour bridges tour in the morning.

Absolutely loved our tour. Willie & Hank were our horses and along with our knowledgeable guide were wonderful at showing us through the park and giving us such a great history on the area. We took the Rockefeller bridge tour which is a beautifully shady green route through the park. I definitely recommend this.
