Saturday 31st July and we visited this beach which is situated 30 kilometres north of Zakynthos Town and lies between Agios Nikolaos and Xigia Beach.

The main purpose of our visit was it was the departure point for our Shipwreck Boat Tour, we boarded the boat here.

As we arrived early we had about half an hour to explore the beach.

A small pebbled beach that sits on a small cove flanked on either side by a rocky and craggy headland with a mountainous backdrop.

When we visited it was practically deserted with just a few people down the far end of the beach. There were some, not too many, umbrellas and sunbeds available for hire.

There was plenty of space along the beach to spread out towels and beach mats.

Pedalos were also there to hire.

There is a Taverna across the road and up a small hill.

We boarded our boat from a small pontoon, as our boat sailed away from the beach it was an opportunity to see headland and rugged coastline.

What a difference a few hours makes, on our return coach journey we drove past here and it was rather busy. We definitely saw it at it’s best early morning.

The see is indeed exceptional but amenities are very poor: umbrellas very small, not proper for spending shadow. Maybe the period we visited this beach was also not the best one - July, but it was so crowdy we simply couldn't enjoy it. So, my recommendation would be to visit the beach just as long as you take a bath and before 10:00.

Beach with larger pebbles and clear water. Suitable for snorkeling - you will see multicolored fish. Right by the road.

Pebble beach, take your water shoes for this one. The water is crystal clear- a great spot to relax or snorkel. The taverna close to the beach has good food and a small pool.

Loved this beach. Found it when we hired a car and had a really relaxing couple of hours there. Easy sea for swimming and snorkeling. Also boat hire on the beach the kayaks looked a great way to spend an hour. Pebble beach which is good if like me you aren't so keen on sand. Also a nice bar and shop 30 seconds from the beach.

Clean waters. Small coastline. No sand but small pebbles. Truly recommend it! It's a must when you are in Zante. There sundbeds. Been there in the afternoon not crowded.

Clear Azzure waters, public beach, kids safe too! Nearby Tavernas are good too! The sunbeds and umbrellas are available but are charged though about 4€ per which many avoided by using the beach directly!

This is a beautiful beach ideally located in a corner of the highland. It is not a sandy beach but the location, the landscape and the incredible colours of the sea are a must see.

The beach is clear and beautiful, you can swim till the caves in the right side of the beach, also you can take the boat to visit Navagio and Blue Caves right from the beach, if you’re hungry you can go across the street to a Greek tavern with many stairs 😁 but the food and the view is wow , so enjoy 💙💙

A bit busy mid day but if you go in the mornings or evenings it is quieter. A bit rocky so bring your shoes or Sandles. Also a good day trip to take the boat offered at this beach. I believe it's called Captain of Cruises. Definitely check them out too.
