About
Solomos Wines is situated on the foot of the historic Venezian Castle of Zakynthos. The family makes wines at this same area for four generations and uses grapes only from local native grape varieties. All of the wines are of Protected Geographical Indication. AMAZING!
Great experience and really delicious wines! We paid only 5 euros for tasting and we could taste as much as we want. The host was soooo nice, we loved here, she explained us everything about the wines and later on she told us what to see in the city and how to get to the view point. We ended up buying olive oil and bottles of wines and we paid for that really funny amount of money. Even though we have been there 2 weeks ago I can still remember the taste of these wines, they were so good! Thanks a lot for everything, you made our stay in Zakynthos better!

    Charming and Lovely Wine Experience
2 friends and myself are currently on a mediterranean cruise, we happened upon this sweet and charming winery. Being big wine lovers and living in the columbia valley, where we have about 100+ wineries within a 10 mile radius, the wines from our local region are top notch. I frequently opt for local wines verses import wines. Solomos wines are of a very high quality, and a really great flavor profile. Whatever you are doing, keep doing it and please consider importing your wine to some of our wine bars! We know many wine lovers who would gladly pay the additional cost to have these high quality wines delivered to us. Thank you so much for such a great experience and your hospitality.

Lovely way to spend a couple of hours
What a fabulous way to spend a couple of hours. The staff were friendly and welcoming. For €10 We were given a talk about the wines along with a glass of water and a dish of fresh bread with olive oil. We spent 3 hours there and tasted 9 different wines and had a tour of the wine cellar. You have the opportunity to purchase wine and olive oil.

Amazing experience! It was only 5 euros a person to taste all the wine you want. The wine was great so we purchased a few bottles and some olive oil for a very reasonable price to bring back with us. The staff was so kind as well. It’s a family run establishment and they use local resources to help the small businesses on the island which is great. Be sure to say hello to Stuart the kitten, their most adorable staff member! I highly recommend visiting this winery if you’re near Zante Town!

We had a few hours to pass one afternoon and, after reading some of the reviews decided to visit. It was lovely! The bread and olive oil was delicious and we sampled a total of 8 wines, all for a very cheap price of ten euros. They were even nice enough to help us call a taxi to get back to our hotel.

Today we visited Solomos Winery and tasted 8 yummy wines for €15 each. We received some delicious bread and oil with herbs to enjoy while we waited.
Lovely attentive, knowledgeable staff.
Interesting explanations of each wine although would have been better before tasting each wine rather than all in one go at the start.
Very quick look at the cellar.
We much prefer vineyards rather than just the winery but this was still pleasant.

Wow! Wow, wow, wow!!! Yesterday we visited Solomos wines and received an amazing welcome from Penelope, the owner:) We toured the bottling process, the bottle cellar and cask cellar..... amazing!!!! Penelope knows everything there is to know about wine, and was so welcoming :). After the tour, we went to the next bit........ the wine tasting :) this was wine tasting with a difference....... just 4 Euro each....Penelope opened 10 bottles of different amazing wines, severed us some amazing fresh bread with their very own olive oil and Oregano sprinkled on top, stayed for a chat and then simply said: help yourself, and enjoy....... stay as long as you like :) 3 hours later, and much of the 10 bottles tasted, we bought six of the best and went on our merry way! Highly recommend this place...... stooped in 3 generations of family history and lovely people :)

We were greeted at the door, even though I guess they were technically closed (4pm on a Friday, no website to check), the lady was extremely nice and accommodating. They have a wide selection of wines, so you should find something you like. Red, white, rose and dry to sweet for all. I think there were 16 in total.

It's really a quick welcome, see the very nice cask room, then a free tasting in another very nice room. The wines are also very reasonably priced. They also have olive oil and a jam/desert of sorts.

Prefect 30 minute stop for a tasting and picking up some local wine.

We visited this winery as a free trip arranged by our hotel. We weren’t sure what to expect as the mini bus screeched down the road and pulled up outside the winery but it wasn’t the 5 star ambience that we found inside this delightful place.
The ‘tour’ was remarkably speedy and entailed walking down the stairs into the cellar for a little chat about the French oak barrels. A quick photo opportunity amongst the barrels and racks and then back upstairs again to take our seats at long tables and sample the wine!
The wine was left on the bar along with plates of bread and olive oil (lush) and you simply helped yourself - starting on the right and working your way along the line!
We sat with three young ladies from our hotel and we had a really good laugh and chat as we sampled the wine.
There was no hard sell, a lady simply sat behind a table at the side of the room and took your orders if you chose to buy. They also sold olive oil and a dessert made from tiny grapes. Delicious!
We had a very pleasant couple of hours here at Solomos Winery and I thoroughly recommend you pay a visit..

10 Euros for wine tasting each, 10 wines in total! Such a joyful and relaxing afternoon! Get atmosphere and the staff/family extremely welcoming. We were never pushed to buy anything but we didn’t leave with three bottles of wine and some olive oil to take home! We met some lovely other tourist while we were there and made the experience even better!! Great way to spend an afternoon.

5 euro each to taste and look around the distillery, staff are so nice. We ended up buying 6 bottles and it only came to 28 euros. You can really understand which wine you are most attracted too, ours was medium sweet, red and white🤪. They let you try the oil they make aswell which is very fresh and organic. They also sell currants which are lovely and fresh.

Nice winery and a great array of tastings from White thru rose to red and sweet and dry in all varieties. Olive oil to taste as well. Nice quaint cellar as well. We went here on the Zante delight trip with Nefis travel and I recommend this little trip
