Went to the Qld Wine Centre after an exciting glow worm tour on Saturday morning over the Labor Day long weekend. The cellar door didn’t seem too busy at around 11.30 AM, so expecting to sample some nice wines and get interesting information about Queensland wine industry. Initially happy to pay for the wine tasting which is $5 for 5, and looking forward to purchase a few bottles, until the woman tending the bar came into scene. “Welcomed” us with quite an attitude and told us that we can taste 2 wines for free. We jokingly made a comment, asking if we pay the $5 can we taste 7 wines then? Apparently, she didn’t find it funny, simply left us standing there and went away to attend other group. We patiently waited and when she eventually (!) came back to us, she purported that we took so long just to choose whether to do the wine tasting or not. How can we tell you what we want when you don’t even bothered to take the time to serve us properly?! She didn't even ask what type of wine we like or how many people would like to do the tasting, as other wine tasting hosts would normally ask so they can offer you the most appealing varieties. Very rude, abrupt and offensive. Not impressed at all and her arrogance was extremely unacceptable in the hospitality industry! We tasted 1 drop and left, rather take our business to other wineries that are passionate about their wines as equally as providing great customer service. It’s a shame, but we won’t be back to the wine center, rather go to the individual wineries directly.…

We had to wait 25 minutes for our glow worm tour next door so chose to go into the wine tasting centre. We found the staff very friendly & informative. The wines are pleasing to our tastes that we bought 4 bottles. Highly recommend a visit here.

We were here for a tour and a tasting. I'm quite interested in wine, so I tried to ask some questions, none of which the lady hosting the tasting could answer. I expect that they know what grapes go into a white wine when they serve it, that they have an idea about how much wine is produced and can tell about climate and so on. Being asked by someone else what a fortified wine is, she couldn't answer. Tried 4 wines and a liqueur, none of which were above quaffing quality. Wouldn't buy any of those wines. Seemed like a nice place for a family tour, not for someone who have an interest in wine…

Appalling service. Expect to stand there for up to 15mins while the cellar door guys cleans around you, but doesn't even acknowledge you. Then suddenly perks up when a tour arrives. Dont bother going if your not part of a tour.

While staying at Bungunyah Manor Resort I was driven to the wine centre, near closing time, still to enjoy tastes of many wines from the area.
