We went for a walk through the garden and have a picnic. Volunteers have done a great job making new pathways and different themes. Gardens aren't huge but plenty of places to sit with a rug and enjoy a bite. Take a camera

These botanic gardens are not huge but are a delight to visit. I have difficulty walking and so the compactness of these gardens make it ideal. Lots of seats to sit on and lovely wildlife all around in a rainforest setting on Mount Tamborine. Relaxing and refreshing.

Easy access and surprisingly beautiful and diverse, given how small the Tamborine Mountain community is. The rose garden, Japanese Garden and Orchid house were particularly lovely. There are picnic spots too. A great day out and very family friendly

Before heading home I park my car and have a walk around the Botanic Garden. Excellent for a oicnic if you do not want to visit a restaurant around the Gallery Walk. Bring a blanket and enjoy the shade and the beauty of this oasis at the Mountain.

Dear peterbloecker You sound like a regular visitor to the Gardens, so I hope you will continue to call in prior to leaving the Mountain. It is a wonderful place for a picnic but you need to be aware that the Kookaburras look on most picnickers as "Home delivery services" and can be very forward in trying to steal your... More

Largely staffed by volunteers, this is a credit to them and a wonderful facility for the community and visitors alike. Pretty lake, rainforest walks, "Sooty Owl" walk, camellia and azalea walk, Japanese garden, bromeliad garden etc etc - and a beautiful wisteria covered pergola in season. Tiolets, parking and plenty of picnic facilities.

Dear Dutchie747 Thank you for your review and the encouragement regarding the work of the Volunteers. We have about 30 Volunteers who work at the Gardens and when you think the average age is over 72, it makes the work they do even more impressive.
