Part Of Lulworth 2 Mupe Bay Circular Walk
Oct 2018 • Couples
Visited here whilst walking back to Lulworth Cove from a circular walk to Mupe Bay.
Quite a steep climb that can only be reached when the ranges are open.
As others have said, not that much to see there but you get some good views.

Only open when the Tank firing ranges are closed. Well worth the climb up. Various options when you reach the point to continue your walk

Worth a look, but don't go out of your way.

Worth a look, but don't go out of your way

Basically it's a large earth rampart / ditch which runs along the hill.

Lots of theorys as to why, from fort to enclosing animals.

Worth some research before hand and a little look if you've got some spare time.

Wouldn't go out of my way to visit but was part of the walk we went on. Set in a remote but picturesque area close to the army ranges

Bindon Hill to Fossil Forest
Jul 2015 • Couples
Great climb from Lulworth village, views from the top amazing, steep step based drop to the east of the cove, simple climb back to the cliffs. Could walk all the way to Mupe Bay!

Iron Age Hill Fort
May 2015 • Family
There isn't much to an Iron Age hill fort such as Bindon Hill Fort, but I still found it fun to visit. In this case, it is simply a hill with a subtle and hard-to-find ditch where the palisade was. However, standing in a circa 1000 BC is interesting, and it was so easy to get to. It is a very short walk up the hill from Lulworth Cove. The Wikipedia page says that it is not accessible when the Ministry of Defense is having gunnery practice and the whole fort is not, but the western half is. I know that because I was there when they had areas closed off.
