Well worth the small side-trip (and, indeed, anywhere on the Jurassic Coast is a side-trip). Short hike down a steep hill. Beautiful scenery right and left. Go late in the day - ideally around sunset.

I came here to see the view, parked my car, looked at the parking charges and promptly left. I don't enjoy being ripped off so I won't be bothering with that again.

I managed it with a pulled muscle in my back. Wasn’t too bad.

There is roadside parking possible if you are prepared to walk the extra distance. however I don't remember the carparks at either Durdle or the cove having barriers. (might be wrong).

The Lulworth Cove Inn is a great place to stay and eat, They give you a pass for car park opposite
