Have visited the cove each time I come to the UK and never tire of the beautiful views. It never seems over crowded which provides a lovely sense of peacefulness and calm. Lovely walks to be done and a couple of nice places to grab a bite to eat.

Great views for Durdle Door. Make sure you wear walking shoes for the walks. We visited in late November and the weather was cold but dry. Perfect for walking

This is a really must if your visiting the area. I went with my youngish family and elderly(ish) parents. We all loved the fact that you could drive quite close to the Durdle Door (helpful for my mum who has difficulty walking without a stick) and then walk a part of the coastal path. Have a little common sense though... More

The beaches of Lulworth Cove and Durdle door are perfect for a beachside walk throughout the year, although you may need appropriate footwear in the autumn and winter months. Due to the rain the stairs down to the beach are quite wet and muddy, which also causes them to be very slippery. The sea is surprisingly clear and blue, but... More

We drove down to this place from London. Its a great day trip option. Fabulous views from the top (car park), vast view of the waters. Its blue blue and totally blue till your eyes can stretch and see. Absolutely scenic place. You can hike down and get to the beach from the car park. Not much of a hike... More

We stayed in a cottage in Lulworth Cove in November and were blessed with spring like weather all week. This truly is a stunning piece of coastline with coast and country walks to die for. Don't be fooled that there's no big hills - a walk along the coastal path will give you plenty of ascents and descents atop the... More

Great walk although steep, worth it for the views and walk. Weather can change from bottom to top so make sure you have suitable clothing. Few little shops to waunder around and spend some pennies,

The cove and Durdle Door are just breath-taking. We went at sunset and the light cast on the chalky cliffs and blue green water was amazing. Definitely walk down to the beach and water if you can. It was serene and peaceful. Not busy when we went. And we met some nice people too. Car park is a total rip-off... More

as everyone says, this stretch of coastline is absolutely beautiful and we would highly recommend making the effort to walk around these two natural phenomena. There is a nice tourist centre and big car park for visitors which is handy, though I dread to think how busy it gets in summer. Our only complaint was the rock path and steps... More
