The medieval town of Glorenza has a tranquil atmosphere, and is to be considered at must visit. Thick walls surround the town, and though it is bustling with tourists you can even find the atmosphere of ancient times

Charming little town with its medieval walls still in full working order. But it let down the entire south Tyrol by being literally the only place I visited there here there was litter on the ground. It did feel a little bit touristy with more...More

We have already been to a few old town centres before coming to Glorenza, but this town has the most medieval atmosphere. Very small, but not crowded. Good balance between new restaurants/shops/galleries and authenticity.

Peaceful walk here on a hot day - if you can fit it in, try going on a guided tour - very interesting!

Intriguing little village but it's a city! Lovely free attraction to enjoy a few happy hours. Not unmissable though.

For an idea of what medieval cities looked like there is no better place to look. Surrounded by its walls and three small gates and less than 1000 inhabitants it is almost a must. I suggest two short visits - in the morning and evening...More

An old walled town, a delight to wander around, admiring the architecture and the shop signs hanging outside. Stop also to admire the skill of the local bus and Swiss postbus drivers getting through the old gateway. Personally I was glad I was staying elsewhere...More

We stumbled across this town en route to Curon Venosta and were so glad we did. It is a lovely small town and you can easily spend several hours here wandering around. The old buildings are amazing and you feel the history oozing out of...More
