Great vibes tour

We had a tour with Erik as our guide, this trip goal is to let you experience the lively night life of the city. It was excellent, Erik was very nice, he took us to many small interesting places , we tasted all kind of food, drinks, and it was fun . We wouldn’t find these places on our own so really worth it.
It is a different but really great experience to go on such a tour, very recommended!!!
Also Erik is great!!!

Great night of food/drinks and talking with locals

I had a tour with Danyk in December when I was solo tripping through Osaka. Danyk did an awesome job of explaining the history and culture of Osaka, while also making conversation and not making it into a lecture. Danyk also showed me around some of the local bars including some hidden ones that I never would have found on my own. Danyk was also great to talk to and the tour even though it was a few hours flew by just because of how fun it was. Would highly recommend going on this tour and thank you to Danyk for being a great guide!

Awesome food, authentic izakaya, and great drinks

Our guide (Erik) was seriously awesome! With so many food options and not enough time, Erik showed us around the coolest spots, introduced us to the kindest shop owners, and gave us an authentic izakaya experience. He treated us like new friends right away and we would have never seen the hidden gems such as tiny bars in alleyways, the tanuki around each corner, or the bar upstairs! We had so much fun and definitely recommend this tour to anyone who likes good food, good drinks, and good company!

Rodney is the GOAT

Rodney was an absolute delight! He was super funny and engaging and he seemed to know literally everyone in the streets of Osaka. We had some great food, drinks, and wrapped the night in a karaoke bar. We ended up going back to a tiny bar he had recommended the next night just to check it out. Highly recommend this tour!!

Good night out!

Great tour! Very informative. Food and the knowledge was really good! I would recommend this tour to those who like food and drink and visiting unique spots. Gives a great insight into the nightlife of Osaka on a different level to what most would expect to see.

Perfect introduction to Osaka

We had less than 24 hours in Osaka so we did a tour to capitalize on it and it was SO worth it. Rodney led our group and he was awesome. He had energy, was super knowledgeable about the area and Japan, had great recommendations for what to drink at each place, and was warm and friendly overall with a great sense of humor. It was definitely worth the price paid, for even just the food alone, not to mention the drinks. Even after the tour was done, he was willing to show us more places so we could get a full experience. We went to little places I would have never known even existed let alone would I have tried to go in them on my own, and it was great! I didn’t really take too many photos but that says more about the experience that I was just enjoying it!

A great night out

The highlight of the experience was being able to stop at bars I likely wouldn’t have been able to find otherwise, which is exactly what I would want in a tour like this. Each stop was unique and memorable in the best way, and most of the stops were filled with locals which I took to be a good sign. The food we tried was delicious and the mix of drinks was enjoyably balanced. The guide was very knowledgeable about Osaka and it’s nightlife, and it’s clear he had taken the time to form genuine relationships with each of the bartenders / hosts so we felt welcome. The other members of the tour were all very friendly, and we enjoyed a late night drinking together with our host long after the tour had officially ended.

I loved this Osaka backstreet food excursion! Our guide was very accommodating, knowledgeable (not only about the different foods but more importantly the language and culture behind it) as well as funny.
I would categorically recommend it to any traveler visiting Japan!

Amazing Experience - MUST DO THIS

What an amazing experience. We ate and drank like a local with our amazing tour guide Danyk. He was friendly, fun, informative and extremely welcoming. 10/10 I will recommend this trip for anyone visiting, I might even do it again just to hangout!

Osaka can be extremely overwhelming and typically as a tourist I would have just visited the touristy spots. However with this tour you get to visit true local spots, with local prices!

Extra thanks to Danyk for making the whole experience so much fun!

Taste Osaka with Rodney

We did Taste Osaka with Rodney who spoke excellent Japanese and has been living in Japan for decades. Rodney knew all the hidden gems and helped us understand/answered hundreds of questions that we had about beautiful Japan. Rodney also had excellent sense of humor(on background of being a stand-up comedian as his hobby) and made group of us unknown strangers comfortable from get go. Would recommend to anyone interested in exploring the food scene of Osaka on feet with laughs along the way.
