Good port museum which shows different periods of ship history. There are a lot of information which is shared in a very convenient way. Also here you can find some interesting interactive activities and photo spot.

Fabulous little museum. Ticket included entry into the ship moored not far from museum. The ship "Nippon Maru" is a sailing ship used to train sailors. It was built in 1930 and has trained over 11,000 cadets until her retirement in 1984. Nippon Maru sailed around the world 45 times but now provides educational programs to students. The Yokohama Port Museum is only small but plenty to look at and enjoy. On entry there is a photographic map on the floor which shows the port of Yokohama and its layout. On the day we were there we were lucky to have a tour guide volunteer who explained the region to us - very interesting to get local knowledge on the area. The exhibits within the museum focus on history, operation and the role of the Port of Yokohama. There is a boat simulator which a bit of fun and a challenge to experience.

Came here at Monday. Unfortunately the museum closed that day every week. Admission fee ¥600 for adult and ¥300 for child. Took a lot of pictures of the ship and area surrounding.

Great museum on the waterfront with excellent photos and displays; a real treasure house. Don't miss it. We spent 1.5 hours and could have spent more. Good English signage.

We went onto the ship beside the museum first - Nippon Maru - then into the museum itself. Both were fabulous. The ship had both English and Japanese signs, easy to follow, and very interesting. Both the outside and inside of the ship were on the route. Also a crew member from the ship's sailing days was there and he was very interesting to talk to. When we got into the museum, a retired gentleman sought us out and gave us a personal tour in English - also very interesting. A wonderful way to spend the morning of a rather cold and rainy day.

this ship is still in use for training. It is near the amusement park and Tower. It is a gorgeous ship to look at and go on to. It is just another thing to do along Yokohamas waterfront

This place is great. There is a real size ship where we can take a tour inside it. Beside the ship, we can also know some histories about the Yokohama port. One great thing is they have a ship simulator, where we can get a certificate after we anchored the ship to the port.
