Good port museum which shows different periods of ship history. There are a lot of information which is shared in a very convenient way. Also here you can find some interesting interactive activities and photo spot.

It was pouring rain, this was a good way to kill an hour. Located a block away from Sakuragicho Station. It costs ¥800 to have access to the Yokohama Port Museum, the Nippon Maru, and the Yanagihara Ryohei Art Museum. Port Museum itself was well done. A couple of theaters inside with drone footage of the port and a video summary of the history of the port. I enjoyed the many model ships. The detail was amazing. There is decent enough English signage to get a gist of what is going on. They do provide QR codes that can give you more information. The art museum is a quick walk-through to get out of the building. The Nippon Maru is a good see. To see all the teak and brass is pretty awesome. You have pretty much all access to see most of the ship both inside and outside. The view of the mast from the deck is memorable. You can see how cramped everyone must have been to be training on this ship. The actual design of the ship is very similar to ships of today. This was well worth the effort to come and see.
