It was quite easy to find the open air museum. We took the road from the village of Idrsko towards Livek following the signs of Pot Miru. We visited this place on a rainy day and we were the only visitors so we could discover...More

The outdoor museum is a fascinating look at the trenches and infrastructure used during WWI on the Soča front. It combines history with hiking and beautiful views. A little something for everyone.

Kolovrat is definitely worth visiting. It takes a relaxed 1-1.5 hours to walk around the WWI trenches the Italian army built on the ridge over the Soca valley. You can observe well renovated trenches, caverns here. The view is stunning from the mountain top. We...More

Outdoor museum on Kolovrat Mountain is worth visiting because of really panoramic view on the Soča Valley. Very interesting remains from IWW could be seen there (trenches, caves and fortified positions). You can go by car up.

The place is accesible all the time, but the person minding it is there from 10-18h. You can drive to the place with the car, the trenches alone are then easily reachable by foot.
