This was a little expensive, 1200YEN per person for thirty minutes holding the hedgehogs. I think the experience also depends on which hedgehogs you get which is pot luck! The table next to us had ones that were happy to sleep in their hands, ours...More

These little guys are so cute! Good cafe with a free drink included and they treat the animals good which is a big thing for me!! Didn’t want to go to a cruel cafe. The staff are super nice and tell you how to hold...More

I've visited a few animal cafe's and I can say that I was really impressed with this place. The staff were very friendly, they could speak English and could actually talk to you about their hedgehogs. The animals all looked well cared for and had...More

Great place to see hedgehogs. Place was very clean. Hedgehogs seemed to be taken cared of very well. Half an hour was perfect for my family. Would have loved to buy a hedgehog from there, but unfortunately it’s not an animal that is allowed where...More

I've seen adorable videos which is why I was smitten to go until when we arrived and we've realized that it's built on a principle which doesn't really account for animal welfare. Don't get me wrong the animals seemed healthy, fed, they had some resting...More

There are two HARRY locations in Harajuku and the line between the two is blurred online. We went specifically to see otters, which were not at this location, but the one 10 minutes away by foot. Some of the staff members speak poor English, which...More

We went on a Thursday afternoon when we stumbled upon the cafe walking around in Harajuku. We got right in, there was no wait. You pay an entry fee to play with the hedgehogs for 30 or 60 minutes and you can also pay for...More

There are a few types of animal cafes in Tokyo, but we chose the hedgehog cafe because we'd never gotten to handle hedgehogs. They're cute, not exactly cuddly, and you have to wear gloves.

Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the
Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops
that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest
areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's
Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to
recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh
yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast,
Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool.

I didn't book in advance. We just decided to go, follow the google map and tada! we are there. We have to wait for 5 minutes as the cafe was a little crowded.
