Neighborhood: Akasaka / Roppongi
Not so long ago the Akasaka and Roppongi areas were famous for their nightlife, high-class restaurants, bars and clubs. More recently, with the opening of Roppongi Hills, Tokyo Midtown and Akasaka Sacas, the area has declared itself as the most fashionable spot to be seen. The area also hosts the National Art Center and the Mori Art Museum and lots of trendy art galleries.

TBS TV station, theatre and many good restaurants
May 2015 • Couples
TBS is one of the major TV station in Japan, Channel 6 in Tokyo area, and is located here in Akasaka. They created a shopping and dining complex called Akasaka Sacas several years ago. Not so much to shop but quite good area for dining. They have good restaurants serve all different kind of food, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Belgium beer, Chinese, Oyster bar, and many different Japanese foods, sushi, sukiyaki, shabushabu, etc.

When you're lucky, you may be able to meet a Japanese television star.
Mar 2015 • Family
An event related to a Japanese TV program is often performed here. When you're lucky, you may be able to meet a Japanese television star. There are also a lot of restaurants in the circumference, so it's also convenient to have a meal.

Food, shopping, typical mall
Jan 2015 • Couples
There's nothing wrong with this place, but after awhile there's not a lot to see that's completely unique and out-of-the-ordinary. The ice skating rink in the winter is nice. The food and shops are good, the cafes are cute, but so are plenty others in Tokyo.

Nice little shopping centre if you're nearby
Sep 2014 • Couples
Akasaka Sacas is a small-ish shopping and restaurant centre above Akasaka metro station. Honestly, if you're visiting Tokyo it's worth mooching around for an hour if you happen to be nearby.

The best use of the area is, I think, if you're staying nearby. The building has a good selection of nice restaurants inside (can be pricey!). A good tapas place where you can get Basque txacoli wine, a Portuguese place, Belgian beer bar, Chinese, sushi, etc. etc. Sadly our favourite crepe place moved to Shinjuku. Oh well.

Not a place for a special trip but if you are staying here have a look.

here all the time

It isn't really an attraction per se. Just a building with some restaurants and shops. The area is really convenient if you are considering staying in a hotel here. The crepe place is seriously good, famous in France.

Old Tokyo.. nice place to walk around. couple of temples to visit and get a feel of the city. few street buys... certainly not bargains though. however not much around to see. it connected to the metro to getting here is not tough.
