I got the opportunity to visit a vegan cooking class, and as a tourist this was an enlightening demonstration not only because of the Japanese ingredients and style of cooking; but also to compare the Vegan opportunities in Tokyo compared to those in Sweden. In...More

Cool concept class where they partnered with a vegan meat producer. We got to cook with super new products that aren’t even in grocery stores yet! Overall a cool experience and I definitely feel like I picked up some great tips.

What a lovely way to spend an afternoon. We learnt how easy it is to make flavoursome gyoza and the technique for wrapping them, and how to make my favourite Japanese dish, ramen. Looking forward to experimenting when we get home. Rina and her assistant...More

I enjoyed two different cooking classes with BentoYa Cooking in Tokyo, and they were both excellent, well-organized, easy to understand, fun and delicious. It's not easy to find vegan food in fish-flake-crazed Tokyo, but Rina showed me things worth trying in the supermarket as well...More

There aren't many vegan food options in Tokyo, so when I saw this cooking class I thought it would be a great way to learn about Japanese culture and also have a delicious lunch! Thanks to Rina for making the class so enjoyable - she...More

Yotsuya / Iidabashi
Yotsuya and Iidabashi are areas that developed around
the outer moat of the Imperial palace. Nearby in
Kagurazaka, there is an old red-light district with a
photogenic feel evocative of the ambiance of old
Tokyo. Narrow paths with stone paving remain to this
day, and there are long-standing restaurants with
geishas and quaint old cafes in townhouse buildings.
