Kachidoki bridge is a great place for you to be and shoot few photos of Tsukiji jetty. From here, you can see other bridges too. Beware of cyclists as I noticed that the locals did not use any bells to 'honk' you! If you pass...More

This is the oldest bridge over the Sumida River and not as impressive as others. Very functional for traffic but not beautiful. Used to be a drawbridge but no longer functions as one. All river boats must be very low to fit under this bridge.

The Sumida Gawa is often described as dirty and polluted. I was very surprised on my last visit to Tokyo to see how beautiful and picturesque it is. The Kachidoki bridge is a short walk to Tsukiji and a bit further to Ginza. While the...More

Located in Tsukiji. This is one of the oldest bridges in Tojyo over Sumida river. The Bridge is the only drawbridge that was built on Sumida River in the 1940's. It was constructed to commemorate the victory of the Japanese army during the Russian-Japanese War....More

This bridge is nothing spectacular and certainly is not worth a particular visit, but if you are in the area and want to see it there is no harm in approaching it from either side to grab a couple of photos.

This was near our beautiful hotel, Royal Park. On way to fish market and a great place to view Tokyo and to enjoy city landmark.

I can't imagine anyone going out of their way see this bridge but it is a pleasant bridge and we crossed it walking many times coming and going to our apartment.

Its a fairly non descriptive bridge. Nothing to see or do. Happened to ride over it during a bike tour, and drive over it during a bus tour. Don't go out your way to see it, its small and boring. If you absolutely must see...More

Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's
also a downtown area with shops that were founded over
a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury
boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza.
It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll
while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels,
world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a
collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular
