The area
Neighborhood: Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.

This is a very impressive mode of transport which we used a lot getting to and from our hotel. Cost is easy to work out with a chart showing the price depending on how many stations you were going to. Easy access on the platforms with the train stopping exactly in the right place. Great engineering.

The Yurikamome Line connect tourist to Odaiba area. However, it's a very good scenic railway. Buy the 1 day ticket which is much worth. When taking it during the non-peak hour, sit at the front for superb view of Tokyo Bay and Rainbow Bridge.

Get used to it. Automation is expanding quickly. This is easy to use, and quick automated guideway transit system operated/run by computers, i.e., no human drivers. The monorail provides service from Shimbashi to Toyosu Stations, via crossing the Rainbow Bridge, and most of the man-made island of Odaiba.

The Yurikamome connects Odaiba with Shimbashi station and the rest of Tokyo via the Rainbow Bridge. The trains are punctual and clean, and its stops and destination is clearly marked. Each station has its own theme.

New Access to harbor side, to some few hotels on Tokyo bay like the Intercontinental Tokyo Bay at Takshiba docside, Rainbow bridge and more. Watch out, the line is not included in Tokyo JR day pass and requires to pay extra fare. However, if you use IC cards like PASMO, ICOCA etc, then no issue.

Starting from Shimbashi station, the unmanned and automated Yurikamome line train goes all the way to Tokyo's man made islands in Odaiba to it's final destination at Toyosu. There are great views along the way especially if you have a seat near the front of the train and you'll get to go on Rainbow Bridge as well. I would say it's definitely better travelling on this to Odaiba than on the Rinkai line (as that goes underneath Tokyo Bay) but that's just my personal opinion. The train stops at places along the way that have various attractions. Enjoy your trip on this train.

Very nice connection from Shimbashi station to Odaiba island; it's futuristic, clean, fast and comfortable.
It offers great views of Tokyo waterfront, liberty statue and Rainbow bridge. Don't forget to stay in the front cabin for better views!

Well positioned subway line connecting Odaiba area and downtown. Modern and clean. We stayed in Odaiba and used this line to go into town. Terminates at Shimbashi Station near Ginza and good jump off point if you want taxi and not spend more going by cab into outer areas in Odaiba. One of the few lines that is totally wheelchair accessible. Connects all attraction in Odaiba such Diver City, Oensen, Fort Venus etc.

The train like driver less vehicle that runs on tyres. Very smooth drive with where you can absorb the beauty of Tokyo and the little islands. Some are man made and are being developed with some iconic structures. If you can spare a day, you can stop and experience the Telecom tower, shopping kids play areas, exhibition centre etc., Try and get in early and sit on the first row of the first compartment or the last row in the last compartment to get uninterrupted view of what lies ahead. I travelled on my return on the first row. Costs 380 yen for one way trip and it is worth it.

You need to get off at Aomi station on the Yurikamome line, about 20 minutes from Shimbashi.
It’s then about an 8-10 minute walk through an exhibition area. It’s all on the flat, above ground.
Team lab is a great place to visit. Enjoy
