Address
Neighborhood: Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's also a downtown area with shops that were founded over a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza. It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels, world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular with anyone looking for a night out.

Smaller than expected, but interesting enough. If you are in the area it might be worth checking out.

On a couple of floors you can see the innovations Sony has worked on in recent years. It's not overwhelming but still nice to see. The robotic dog is there. A pitty that the English knowledge of the staff is very limited. You also have a beautiful view on the crossroad from the higher floors. The building itself that also houses Nissan and a attractive restaurant with a terrace giving to the crossroad is also attractive by itself. I would not make it a destination but ok to drop by when in the neighborhood.

We were shocked today to find this iconic building gone after more than 50 years! What a surprise to see the empty space in such a prominent spot on the Ginza!

Sony is currently at the Nissan building. I only found it by accident. I assume it will be being rebuilt soon

There is a Sony shop above Nissan that is like any Sony shop not worth going to.
Shame the original has been pulled down and nothing has replaced it

Did not expect such a place to be right in the heart of Ginza! Short walk from pods we stayed in. Highly recommend to anyone interested

Tokyo is such an amazing city, I recommend avoiding what is essentially an electronics shop and spending your time on something more interesting. The only cool thing was a staircase that leads down to basement legal, that is external to the Sony shop, that plays notes when you stand on different steps.

This was not as wonderful as my husband had remembered it being 20 years ago! (The toilets were terrific.)

This is a nice place to check out lots of different Sony products and to see some of the items that are only available in Japan.
It's a bit like a huge shop, but the best part is you can go hands on with EVERYTHING and no one is standing over you trying to convince you to buy.

Gracias
